Ladd’s a fast-rising WR/TE that picked up 5 D-I offers in February from Nevada, Idaho, Penn, Columbia, and Montana St. He’s a high-upside athlete at 6’4”/214 with a strong receiving skillset for the TE position. He works the middle of the field with strong hands and can adjust his body in the air. He’s a physical blocker against OLBs and a goal line mismatch with smaller CBs on the outside. Ladd’s the #10-ranked TE in CA by PRZ and the most intriguing prospect at the position in San Diego.
A’jhuan Parker
A’jhuan Parker
Parker’s an athletic two-way starter at RB/FS for El Cerrito. He’s a rangy tackler from his S spot that smoothly closes space and is aggressive through contact. He covers the middle of the field extremely well and shows punchy change-of-direction breaking on the ball. Parker totaled 1,000 rushing yards and 13 TDs with 100 tackles and 1 INT. He picked up his first offer from Lincoln in November.
Elijah Vasquez
Elijah Vasquez
Vazquez is a skilled two-way player at WR/CB for Western Christian. As a receiver, he’s a smooth route-runner with fluid agility and change-of-direction. He’s a solid pass-catcher with natural hands and can extend his radius at the catch point. He showed ability to make plays in every area of the field as a junior and should continue to see more volume in the fall. He’s a strong cover-corner on the outside with 4 INTs last season. Vazquez has an NAIA offer from Saint Mary.
Highlights
Smith transferred to Calabasas after two productive seasons as a starting CB for Westlake. He’s a skilled player in coverage that sticks to wideouts with fluid hips and compact burst. He’s an instinctive, high-IQ defender in his understanding of play development and route concepts. He doesn’t hesitate to close space tackling on the edge and continues to fill out his 5’8” frame. Smith will be an intriguing SoCal transfer to watch in the fall.
Bowman carries athletic upside as an OLB/TE at 6’4”/205. He’s an active defender that reacts well to the ball in coverage and can make plays on receivers as a shallow defender. He can play a bit high at times which can slow his movement, would like to see him unlock more speed and explosiveness out of his pad level/leverage. He presents a big target with reliable hands in the shallow-intermediate areas as a TE. Bowman was on campus for Penn’s junior day in March.
