Thoughts & Intel
Devin Hester Jr…
Talked with a few people that continue to rave about 2024 WR Devin Hester Jr out of Cedar Shoals. One of those sources is adamant that Hester is a MAJOR P5 prospect. Recent offers coming his way from schools like Wake Forest and numerous other FBS programs certainly validate that claim. Hester is a very impressive prospect on the field, but his work ethic on the field comes up frequently during conversations I’ve had. Hester has picked up a ton of momentum recently and that “big offer” is coming.
Crimson Tide Enter Sweepstakes for Two Elite Prospects…
Two prospects recently got the stamp of approval from Nick Saban, picking up an offer from Alabama. Those two are ’24 TE Caleb Odom Caleb Odom 6'5" | 205 lbs | TE Villa Rica | 2024 State GA out of Carrollton and ’25 QB Antwann Hill Antwann Hill 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Houston County | 2025 State GA Jr out of Houston County. Odom is one of the best 2024 TE prospects in the country, Antwann Hill Antwann Hill 6'4" | 215 lbs | QB Houston County | 2025 State GA had a historic season for Houston County which solidified himself as one of the nation’s best in 2025. Both prospects possess the rare body type and athletic traits that schools like Alabama look for. With an offer from the Crimson Tide, expect these recruitments to pick up even more steam.
Programs I’m Excited to Check Out This Spring…
Kell high school is at the top of the list. They are littered with P5-level athletes across the board. They had a good season last year and should be even better this year. I am also excited to check out Gainesville. Since last spring, the Red Elephants have upgraded facilities and have developed their roster nicely. They are always a good team to check out, but there is some serious excitement around the program this time around. At the very least, I will be tracking Seckinger closely. New program that dealt with some unforeseen adversity this past season. Regardless, they made a good hire in Tony Lotti and it will be interesting to see how a brand new program started from scratch operates in it’s infancy stages.
Evaluations
Terrence Curtis Terrence Curtis 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Parkview | 2024 State GA – EDGE – 2024 – Doughtery
Davis has picked up a ton of P5 offers in the last few months. I wanted to turn on the tape to see why. I found that Davis is extremely light on his feet and aggressive in his pursuit. However, he shows good instincts by not overpursuing and wrapping up the ball carrier to allow them no room to escape. He knows he is a freak athlete and has next-level measurables, which means he knows how to use his body to his advantage. Doughtery should continue to generate some buzz out of south Georgia over the course of the season.
Kendrick Curry – ATH – 2024 – Clarke Central
Curry plays both RB and LB at a high level, but might project out at LB collegiately. However, he could certainly play RB as well. At 5’10 215, Curry has a very stout and muscular build and absolutely uses it to his advantage. He is a thumper, delivering devastating blows to ballcarriers and plugging gaps with his pure prescience alone. He will benefit greatly from a scheme that allows him to come downhill and meet the RB in the holes. He can also run sideline to sideline fairly well and make tackles in space. Curry is a hard-nosed, old-fashioned LB that will find a role with his sheer aggression and physicality alone.
Justin Wilson – DB – 2024 – Wheeler
Recently got a hit on Justin Wilson, who just finished up his junior season at Wheeler. After watching film, I have to say, I am impressed. He has that long DB look, possessing a skinny 6’2 build. Spends most of his time at corner, where I project him at. He has very impressive speed and the ability to change direction on a dime. When the ball is in the air, he does a good job of looking up to find it and bat the ball away. With super fast feet, great speed, technique, and length… Wilson checks a lot of boxes and is a true hidden gem in Georgia.
