Continue ReadingNorth Carolina’s top 150 prospect Derrick Brown Jr. Derrick Brown Jr. 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Avon Old Farms | 2024 State NewE has announced his transfer as a postgraduate student and athlete at Avon Old Farms. I’m completely unfamiliar with football in the Carolinas, but our guys down South have ranked this stud prospect inside the top 20 at his position. The 6’3, 225lb defensive lineman has already garnered offers out of UNC Charlotte and the Air Force Academy. Excited to rerank him in New England.
Highlights
Here’s an interesting addition to the Phillips Andover program. Adam Landry Adam Landry 6'5" | 220 lbs | QB Phillips Andover | 2024 State NewE , a 6’5, 210-pound quarterback prospect out of Newton North HS, will now develop under the umbrella of a NEPSAC program brim with coaching talent. Landry ranked relatively low amongst his 2023 quarterback class. I’m excited to see where he would stand after further evaluation, especially amongst an elite 2024 QB class.
Here’s a huge addition to Phillips Exeter Academy Football. Zion Simmons Zion Simmons 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH St. Sebastian's School | 2023 NewE , formerly out of St. Sebastians, will now suit up for PEA football as a postgraduate transfer. The former top-ten defensive back prospect will reclassify into the class of 2024. We will plug in his senior year highlights and see where he stacks among his new classmates. I project he will make the move to ATH after the next ranking update.
Liam Donagher
Liam Donagher
The Grafton football All-State athlete Liam Donagher has announced his transfer and commitment to a postgraduate year at Choate Rosemary Hall. I feel there isn’t enough talk around some of the additions CRH has reeled in this off-season. A glance at this young man’s skillset and I’m ready to rank him high amongst other WR/DB athletes. Productive each week, expect Donagher to be a factor on both sides of the ball even at Choate Rosemary Hall.
Highlights
You can argue that not many programs have reloaded quite like St. Thomas More. They add one of the best athletes in all of New England, that being former La Salle Academy prospect Justin Denson Justin Denson 6'2" | 185 lbs | ATH St. Thomas Moore CT. | 2024 NewE . The highly-touted, highly-recruited WR/DB prospect will now suit up in STM Blue, this acting as arguably the biggest domino to fall this offseason. STM has added numerous talents on both sides of the ball, none will factor into future success more than this move.
Keon Collier
Keon Collier
Add Chicago prospect Keon Collier to the long list of additions headed to St. Thomas More. Desirable size for a DB prospect. I haven’t cut on the tape yet to dissect exactly what he brings to the table, yet I hear he’s more of an ATH than just a DB. We will see what the 6’2, 175-pound, former Simeon senior prospect provides STM this Fall. UO South Dakota and Western Illinois have extended offers to the young man.
Brendan Dignan
Brendan Dignan
A 6’6, 285-pound tackle prospect out of De La Salle Collegiate in Warren, Michigan has announced his postgraduate move to St. Thomas More. Although I touted Justin Denson Justin Denson 6’2″ | 185 lbs | ATH St. Thomas Moore CT. | 2024 NewE as the most impactful STM addition, I could make the case that Brendan Dignan might take that award so long as he develops the way I expect him to. The alignment-versatile lineman is already coming in seasoned, I wonder what his ceiling could be after a PG year at STM.
Williston Northampton accepts Malik Diaby Malik Diaby 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Williston Northhampton Ma. | 2024 State NewE , a former Tolland HS senior prospect out of Connecticut. Many Division one programs have reached out to Diaby in the form of junior day invites. I’m unfamiliar with his game but am excited to dive into his tape now that I have had another year to evaluate his skill set. He deems himself an “ATH”, so I expect him to be a factor on both sides of the ball for WN.
Highlights
Former Bridgewater-Raynham 2024 prospect Myles Beckett Myles Beckett 6'0" | 230 lbs | LB Belmont Hill | 2025 State NewE has announced his reclassification into the class of 2025, perfect timing as we are beginning to rank 2025s on the site. With an update looming, I’m excited to reevaluate the latest Belmont Hill prospect. 6’0, 220lbs, Beckett should see early time in rotation at Belmont Hill. Eager to see how he develops under the BH umbrella.
St. Thomas More added a 6’6, 290-pound lineman, so does Avon Old Farms. Formerly out of Bristol Eastern HS, Wyatt Scarritt Wyatt Scarritt 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Avon Old Farms | 2025 State NewE has announced his commitment to Avon Old Farms, announcing his reclassification into the class of 2025. The addition of two phenomenal trench players on both sides of the ball, that being Scarritt and Brown Jr., has to have the AOF coaching staff through the roof.
