Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Rasean Dinkins Rasean Dinkins 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Warner Robins | 2025 State GA – ATH – Warner Robins
A top 2025 defensive back to know in Middle Georgia, Dinkins was dominant last season as a sophomore for one of the top 5A programs in the state. The 6-foot-0 180-pounder flashed D1 potential all year long and it led to a big first offer from Florida State. A good athlete with some versatility in the secondary, Dinkins covers a lot of ground and closes quickly in coverage. When the ball is in the area, the Warner Robins native is going to make a play on it. He was tremendous in coverage last season, picking off an eye-opening 8 passes during the 2022 season. He’s reliable in zone coverage, but he can also play on an island due to his size, quick feet, and closing speed. He’s also a stout run defender and shows the ability to make a big tackle. He made 57 tackles last year as a sophomore with four of them coming behind the line of scrimmage. He’s now ranked as the No. 54 player in Georgia according to the latest Prep Redzone update in thee 2025 class.
Devin Williams Devin Williams 5'10" | 165 lbs | DB Buford | 2025 State GA – Buford
A new addition in the latest update and a guy who flew up the list in a hurry, Williams is a playmaking defensive back for the Buford Wolves who now comes in at No. 19 in the state for the 2025 class. A quick-reacting defensive back for one of the top programs in Georgia, Williams made a big impact on a loaded defense last year as a sophomore. The 5-foot-10 165-pounder is tough, instinctive, and shows off a great vertical, allowing him to cover bigger, longer receivers on the outside. Williams loves locking down his side of thee field and went to-to-toe with some excellent receivers in 7A all season long. He runs well and does a great job of not letting receivers get behind him down the field. He shows promising ball skills for his class and has seen plenty of offers come his way so far in 2023. The promising defensive back holds offers from Alabama, Colorado, Penn State, among others.
Bryan Jones Bryan Jones 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Lanier County | 2025 State GA – Lanier County
An impressive two-way player to know in South Georgia, Jones is certainly one of the more underrated two-way players in South Georgia for the 2025 class and an easy addition to the 2025 rankings, now coming in at No. 129 in the state. The playmaking sophomore showed his impressive athleticism every time he was on the field last season. A reliable receiver on offense, his natural instincts and ball skills made him a weapon in the secondary and someone quarterbacks needed to stay away from. He covers a lot of ground down the field and knows how to make a play on the ball in the air. He has wide receiver hands, making him a dependable defender against the pass. In the secondary last year, Jones picked off five passes in coverage, making him one of the leading DBs in INTs last year across Georgia. n addition to his outstanding cover skills, he’s also a sure tackle who knows how to create turnovers there as well, forcing four fumbles on the season.
