Continue ReadingIt was a gloomy day, but a lot of guys showed up to compete today. There were some Louisiana guys out there competing today. David Johnson and Marcus Dent always put together nice events for the kids of Mississippi to attend. This time they added a mixture of kids from across the state line. Let’s check it out.
Tyler Arrington, WR, Jackson Wingfield, 2024
Arrington has speed that kills. He won’t wow you with his size, but he has a lot of heart. He loves to compete. Arrington is almost unstoppable in man to man coverage. He is a guy that any coach would want to have on their team. Arrington has a very quick release from the line. He makes it very hard on defensive backs trying to press him. He is one to keep up with this season. Arrington recently received an offer from Southwest Community College.
Kenzy West, WR, Hartfield Academy, 2025
West is another player who was very impressive today. He runs nice routes every time he pops out. He knows how to go up for the football. West is very great with getting a good release off the line. He knows how to take advantage of what his defender is giving him. He also knows how to get back on line of his route when he is pressed from the line. West is a guy to keep up with. I would love to see his 40 time on a laser.
Lebron Edmond, DL, Murrah, 2024
Here is a guy that I think is going to see himself pick up some offers soon. He did a great job competing today. Edmond has some good size standing 6-foot-4, 280-pounds and is a mean guy. He has been slanging around offensive linemen for quite some time. I would love to see him attend a lot more camps this summer. I’ll be keeping up with his process.
Charles Woodard, OL, Starkville, 2024
Woodard showed up and did a good job today. He is a guy that has a chance to be play offense or defense on the next level. He doesn’t shy away from contact. Woodard knows how to use his hands. He gets very aggressive when he is playing the defensive line. He is also a patient blocker on offense. I need to see more to determine where I predict he will play in college. Woodard is definitely a stud.
