Part three of reviewing Twitter game tape responses. I have five more prospects from across the state with impressive game tapes.
Dylan Sheard Dylan Sheard 6'2" | 240 lbs | LB Bellevue West | 2024 State NE | 2024 | ATH | Omaha South | 6’2″ 225 lbs
Omaha South’s Dylan Sheard Dylan Sheard 6'2" | 240 lbs | LB Bellevue West | 2024 State NE ‘s breakout junior season put him on the map and set him up to have a big offseason. Just last month Dylan secured his first offer on a trip to in-state program, Wayne State. Dylan passes the eye test right away with a tall, strong, athletic, 6’2″ 225 pound frame and then continues to impress when he gets moving on the field. Sheard is a do-it-all football player that can pass, run, receive, and play defense. He mainly shined as a reciever where he hauled in 50 receptions for 1,105 yards and 9 touchdowns, while adding 221 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 226 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 62 tackles, and a tackle for loss. Sheard is a versatile receiver that can line up outside, in the slot, and even at the tight end/Y spot. He is explosive out of his stance and his speed commands respect whenever he threatens to go vertical. When he doesn’t go deep, Dylan has some crisp breaks in his routes and does a good job working his way back to the ball. His athleticism allows him to elevate above defenders to make catches at the high point. Sheard is also tough and elusive after the catch, catching him is one thing… catching him and bringing him down is another. BUY STOCK NOW!
Nolan Van Slyke Nolan Van Slyke 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Bishop Neumann | 2024 State NE | 2024 | LB | Bishop Neumann | 5’11” 200 lbs
Bishop Neumann LB Nolan Van Slyke Nolan Van Slyke 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Bishop Neumann | 2024 State NE came across my radar shortly after the season and really made an impression at the Stock Up Showcase. Nolan is a strong, rangy ‘backer that can handle all duties from stopping the run, rushing the edge, and dropping into coverage. He finished the season with 62 tackles, four tackles for loss, five interceptions, three blocked kicks, a fumble recovery, and a sack. The part of Nolan’s game that really stands out to me is how well he performs in coverage. He handles all assignments very well and can keep up with RBs, TEs, and slot receivers. Nolan does a great job reading and diagnosing the play while staying disciplined to not play himself out of position. He has great closing speed and can really lay into ball carriers on tackles with his big frame. Very underrated, versatile defender that could make some noise this offseason.
Anthony Liggins Anthony Liggins DB Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | 2025 | DB | Omaha Benson
A hidden gem in the 2025 defensive back group. Omaha Benson’s Anthony Liggins Anthony Liggins DB Omaha Central | 2025 State NE has quietly been a top-tier lockdown corner since joining the varsity ranks as a freshman. Anthony’s speed and agility make him a tough corner to shake. He is a very fluid player that can shift and change direction on a dime. One thing people should look out for in Anthony’s game is his football IQ and ability to play different coverages. He can take on zone, man, and doesn’t mind getting right in a receiver’s face with some press coverage. He’s a tough player that loves to play physical and uses his hands well when breaking up passes. Anthony was also a reliable receiver, using his twitch to get open in short/crucial game situations and in the redzone. Very high ceiling player!
Mario Bush Mario Bush 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Ogallala | 2024 State NE | 2024 | RB/LB | Ogallala | 5’9″ 175 lbs
One player I’m hoping to catch at a camp this offseason is Ogallala’s Mario Bush Mario Bush 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Ogallala | 2024 State NE ! The Ogallala running back is a tough, bruising back with an insane motor and great drive. Despite playing in a split backfield, Mario still gave us a lot to look forward to with his unique power running with great vision and explosiveness to break off big gains. He rushed for 426 rushing yards and three touchdowns along with contributing 38 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack on defense. Even as a smaller back, he is very tough to bring down on first contact, using his strong lower body to maintain his balance and continue fighting for more yards. He sees his lanes very well and hits his gaps with great burst. Look out for this guy on the recruiting trail!
Griffin Goldman Griffin Goldman 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Gretna | 2025 State NE | 2025 | OL/DL | Gretna | 6’3″ 250 lbs
We just saw one Goldman from Gretna sign with a Power 5 team, could younger brother Griffin make it two? Griffin is a rising 2025 OL/DL prospect that looking like a very promising piece for the Dragons moving forward. Griffin is already filling into a D1-level frame at 6’3″ 250 with more room to develop. He’s a versatile blocker that saw time at left guard, right guard, and I believe even some snaps at center. Griffin’s mobility really stood out to me in his tape, he can maneuver into the second level to seal off linebackers and has good short area quickness. Goldman does a great job winning the hands battle and even knows how to use a defender’s momentum against them to finish his block. Griffin’s explosiveness spills over to the defensive side of the ball, where Griffin can shoot out of his stance and create a great initial push at the line. Very impressive 2025 prospect!
