Julius Moultry, DB, 2024, Bessemer City
Moultry is a long defensive back that has good hands. He shows off his good hands on offense. I think that he is going to be a defensive back on the next level. He could possibly see himself playing outside linebacker. He has a lanky frame that isn’t small. I can see him going to a college program gaining a lot of weight and playing outside linebacker. Moultry is a disciplined tackler as well. He makes good solid hits. He is a guy I’ll be keeping up with this season.
Ashton White, Auburn, OLB, 2024
White is a beast in blitz packages. This young man times his blitzes to perfection. He isn’t a wild man loose on the blitz. He is a wild man who is in control ready to make solid take downs. White is definitely an outside linebacker. He is a guy that protects the edge with pride. He is also very polished in a base defense. I would love to see him in coverage more. He is a guy I’ll have on my radar.
Nate Thompson, OLB, Helena, 2024
Thompson is an absolute playmaker. He knows how to be an impact on his team’s defense. Thompson can come up to make the big blows. Thompson is aggressive in coverage. He also knows how to be a good blitzer. I was very impressed when I watched his film. All he does his makes big plays. I definitely think Thompson is a division one football player. He has the size and the grit. He does his job on the football field.
Joseph Phillips Joseph Phillips 6'3" | 225 lbs | LB Tuskegee | 2024 State AL , Shorter, LB, 2024
Phillips is another guy who knows how to make plays. He can be used a lot of ways on the high school level. I think he is going to be an outside linebacker in college. He plays with Gas Crew 7v7. That explains his athletic ability. Phillips can get out and cover the best of running backs. He also has good hands. He is a linebacker that can help a defense be very versatile. Phillips picked up an offer from Missouri State today. He is definitely a power five prospect.
