Logan Madden
Logan Madden
Madden is a player that is under the radar but I feel like he is one of the top QB’s in the state. He is a QB that is able to make plays outside of the pocket with his feet and with his arm. He is a physical runner and shows that with the way he is able to break arm tackles, inside the pocket and on designed runs. He has a great arm and can hit players downfield with touch and in stride so they can run after catch. He shows great vision when he is running the ball or when he is climbing the pocket to find open receivers. On short to intermediate passes he throws with rhythm, hitting his back foot, getting the ball out and hitting receivers as they are coming out of their breaks. He is a player that is under the radar but it will not be that way for long.
Michael Moynihan
Michael Moynihan
Moynihan showed his athleticism this year and was a duel threat at times being able to run the ball and get into the endzone on the ground. He has good touch in the redzone and is able to throw it to where only his receivers can make the catch. He also shows good vision, keeping his eyes downfield, scanning the field and throwing it to the open receiver. He will have the benefit of having his top receiver returning and will be able to continue that connection that they showed last season. He is a QB that can make things happen outside the pocket and can throw strikes downfield even on the run. He will be a player to watch in a tough conference full of playoff caliber teams. He will be able to turn a lot of heads this year if he is able to build on his numbers from last year.
Risner is a player that excels at the intermediate to deep passes that shows great touch on the deep pass. He has a strong arm and can get the ball outside the numbers quickly on the intermediate passes, being able to make any throw on the field. He has some speedy receivers that can make plays after the catch and he gets the ball to them quickly so they can do their thing. On his deep throws they look effortless and has air under it so the receiver can run under it. He is a QB that looks poised when he is in the pocket and can make throws on the move on boots or on broken plays. He has good footwork in the pocket and will be looking to make a big impact this year.
Highlights
Jones is a player that is very agile and can make things happen with his legs. He shows explosiveness when escaping the pocket and can put the moves on the defender to get extra yards. He is a true dual-threat QB and is a dangerous player when he gets going. He shows good vision when he is running and keeps his eyes downfield finding the open receiver. He does have a strong and has some touch when throwing the deep ball, hitting the receivers in stride. He shows time and time again that he is able to throw under pressure on the run or fading away throwing off his back foot and still be on time with his delivery. He is an exciting player to watch and will be someone to keep an eye on moving forward.
Kiewiet is a player that has chemistry with his receivers and is constantly finding them at the right time each time. He has a strong enough arm that he is able to fit it into tight windows when receivers are covered and still gives them a chance to come away with the ball. He does show good touch on his deep passes giving his receiver a chance to fight for the ball or run after the catch. He is a capable runner and shows some speed when he is able to get outside of the pocket, even lowering his shoulder on occasion to get extra yards. Will also get out and make some blocks when he gets a chance. Will be an interesting player to watch this season to see if he is able to get his team above .500 and make a push for the playoffs.
