Joshua Holba Joshua Holba 6'3" | 250 lbs | OL Guerin Catholic | 2024 State IN – Guerin Catholic – OL/DL – 6’3″ 250lbs
Holba is a 3-year starter on both sides of the ball with as much experience and quality reps as anyone you’ll ever come across. They love to get him on the move and lead the way. With his first step and how quickly he can move around, I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked to see him move inside at the next level. Violent hands, a good athlete, and a fantastic frame that can develop into an elite starter type at the next level. His pass pro isn’t bad at all. A wide, good, not back-loaded base and has the ability to move his feet. All the small things you want, he’s got. With all of his on the field ability, his intellectual ability may be his best tool of all. He’s a smart player. Understands how to feel his way through a rep and make the right move. His 4.0 GPA is just icing on the cake here. Overall, Holba is a sneaky recruit who is going to land somewhere, develop, and turn into a key player for them upfront.
Levi Ostler Levi Ostler 6'3" | 230 lbs | DL Clinton Prairie | 2024 State IN – Clinton Prairie – DL – 6’4″ 230lbs
Ostler officially put Clinton Prairie on my map moving forward. I love finding small-school studs from a school that I didn’t even know existed. Personally, I graduated from Fremont with less than 300 students so I mean it when I talk about finding small-school guys. I know how easy it can be to get overlooked just because you go to a small school, but I promise you do not do this with Ostler. If we’re talking about players who have a relentless motor, can shed blocks, cut gaps, and live in the backfield then Ostler is a perfect mold. He’s physical, loves to hit, and is a big body who flies all over the front. On the year, he put up 52 tackles, but 15 of those were TFLs. Add his sacks and 2 forced fumbles and it was really an overall fantastic season. With Ostler, it’s the way he plays that I love. This dude just finds a way to win his rep and make the play. Earned an All-State nod this year, and it was very much earned. Not is he just ranked moving forward, but he’s a guy I’ll be paying close attention to moving forward because his potential is through the roof.
Javawn Brooks Javawn Brooks 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Brebeuf Jesuit | 2024 State IN – Brebeuf Jesuit – DB – 6’0″ 180lbs
Brooks is a raw and fantastic athlete who is just getting a glimpse of how athletic he can be. He’s got long legs, is a springy athlete, and just glides all over the field. The range he has is seemingly unlimited and his ball skills keep a QB in check. While his hips and footwork and a bit loose, as he cleans it up it’s only going to make him that much more smooth and explosive. He’s versatile and has played multiple positions over the years so it could be argued he’s still settling into DB and he’s actually ahead of schedule. They primarily had him at Safety last year but he also comes up and can play near the line or play Corner. At Safety, he’s able to see what’s happening in front of him and make a calculated decision. The athleticism gets him there in a hurry. With this combination, he put up 40 tackles, broke up 9 passes, and picked off another 5 passes while rounding it off with forcing a fumble. Brooks is exciting because he seems like he’s just getting a good grasp of everything and is already making plays all over. The upside with him is more than worth any trip over the Brebeuf Jesuit anyone may want to take.
Micah Stover Micah Stover 6'3" | 305 lbs | OL St. Joseph's | 2024 State IN – St. Joseph’s – G/C – 6’3″ 305lbs
Stover was one of the more consistent and reliable pieces upfront for St. Joseph’s this year and he looked really good doing it. He’s consistent down after down, game after game, and is just one of those grinders never cares about the light pointing on him. His upper-body power is real is what has allowed him to thrive to this point. He’s able to throw guys around and bury them into the ground rather quickly sometimes. I think to get that more consistent working on fundamentals and the lower-body would get him there in the blink of an eye. When they get him on the move or allow him to get downhill in the run game he really begins to take over moments of the game. Not only can he play Guard, but he has experience in the middle of the line controlling things up front. Stover is someone who is way under the radar of where he should be and could end up being a nice gem for the right school.
Cooper Kitchel Cooper Kitchel 6'3" | 195 lbs | TE West Lafayette | 2024 State IN – West Lafayette – ATH – 6’3″ 195lbs
Kitchel is a fantastic athlete who seems to have begin making a transition to TE this past season, while still playing defense, and it may have been the best decision for him yet. Not that he couldn’t make it at WR, but with his size, speed, and strength he’s become a massive chess piece on the end of the LOS for West Lafayette. Whether they need help on the edge or send him out on a route, he comes through. They move him in the slot, out wide, at the end of the line, and he’s able to have success easily because how of how good of an athlete he truly is. He’s made a living ripping defenses right up the seam and picking up huge chunks at a time. In the Redzone, he’s able to go up and pluck balls out of the air for 6. There’s not been anything he’s failed to succeed at yet. All of that being said, and he’s got a future in defense if he wants it. The same range and athleticism comes through and he’s able to run down plays and make small plays. He put up 41 tackles, 6 TFLs, and 2 sacks on the year. Kitchel is a fantastic player that is hiding in plain sight that should pick up traction today, not tomorrow.
