Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Jontae Gilbert Jontae Gilbert 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Douglass | 2025 State GA – Douglass
The No. 4 prospect in Georgia for thee 2025 class, Gilbert continues to see his stock rise on the recruiting trail. A current Ohio State commitment, the elite cornerback out of Atlanta earned another major offer recently, and it camee from Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide during an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa this week. An impressive looking defensive back from a physical standpoint, Gilbert has plenty of size at 6-foot-1 180-pounds along with outstanding ball skills. The Crimson Tide only offer the best of the best in the secondary, and that’s exactly what Gilbert is. He’s a natural cover corner with quick feet, fluid hips, impressive reaction time, and dependable ball skills in the secondary. He’s a hard-hitting defender who can also help in the run game and on special teams to deliver a sound tackle in the trenches or in the open field. His commitment is firm to the Buckeyes, but schools aren’t going to shy away from recruiting him. He’s an elite prospect with 5-star potential, and his offer list proves that.
Thomas Blackshear Thomas Blackshear 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Benedictine | 2025 State GA – Benedictine
One of the fastest-rising receivers in South Georgia, Blackshear is a a twitchy receiver from Savannah who knows how to pick up big yards after the catch. Blackshear is coming off an excellent sophomore season for the state-champion Benedictine Cadets, catching 41 passes last season for 641 yards and 10 touchdowns. As a junior next fall, he’ll be playing at Calvary Day, and theen he’ll play at the Power 5 level down the road at the next level. He’s starting to become one of the top 2025 wide receiver prospects in the peach state, and he recently earned a new offer from the Michigan State Spartans. Blackshear He has plenty of size and length at 6-foot-2 190-pounds and flashed D1 talent on a consistent basis last year. He was a reliable option in the passing game all year long and shows the ability to stretch the field vertical and make plays in the screen game as well. He’s quick, explosive, and has a knack for finding the end-zone. An easy addition to the latest rankings, Blackshear now comes in at No. 125 in the state, but his ranking will likely increase more and more with each update.
Juan Gaston – Westlake
The No. 1 prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class, Gaston went down for the sunshine state for a couple of recruiting visits and left with two big offers. One from Florida, and the other from Florida State. Both programs are in need of elite offensive linemen for the future, and that’s exactly what Gaston is. A massive offensive tackle with unreal athleticism at 6-foot-8 330-pounds, Gaston is an outstanding pass protector who can bury opposing defenders in the run game as well. A two-sport star who also shines on the basketball court, Gaston is thee son of an impressive D1 athlete and his natural athleticism is easy to notice. He checks all the boxes you look for in an elite offensive lineman, and Prep Redzone believes he has easy 5-star potential. He already has a giant offer list, and now he holds offers from two rising programs in Florida.
Shamar Arnoux Shamar Arnoux 6'1" | 175 lbs | DB Centennial | 2025 State GA – Centennial
One of the top safety prospects not only in Fulton County, but across the state in the 2025 class, the Centennial defensive back has good size already at 6-foot-1 175-pounds and already has plenty of offers on his resume. After a strong sophomore season where he made 26 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one TFL, and four pass breakups, Arnoux is still seeing his stock rise on the recruiting trail. He holds major offers already from LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Boston College, among others, and now he holds an offer from UCF after a visit to Orlando over the weekend. As a prospect, he’s a sure tackler, does his job consistently, and shows good footwork in coverage. He runs well and doesn’t let opposing receivers get behind him. He’s bound for a gigantic junior season and could see even more offers head his way this spring.
