I hooked up with the CEO of RecruitNE_GA, Coach D. He gave me tons of information and some insights on who are those underdogs in Georgia. Let’s dive in!
Colter Ginn – QB – Perry High School / @ColterGinn12
Ginn keeps his eyes downfield on extended plays, which has helped him consistently generate downfield production. Ginn is comfortable throwing on the run, and he puts excellent touch on his passes to all levels of the field. Ginn avoids getting stuck when working through his reads and shows flashes of throwing with anticipation. When in the pocket, he generally throws from a good base. If he’s facing pressure, Ginn is willing to stand in the pocket and deliver with defenders in his face.
Giovanni Wilson – OL – Alcovy High School / @giowilson_
Wilson displays good anchor ability and quick feet to get out in space. He can cover a lot of ground as he is agile and a smooth runner. He flashes by generating power at the point of attack with a quick first step. Wilson is a cerebral player who uses his experience to anticipate the moves the defender will use. Due to his anchoring ability, agility, and foot quickness, he can mirror speed rushers by beating them to the edge.
Justin Content – WR – Mill Creek HS / @JustinContent
Content is a competitive player that wants to display physicality. Hands catcher that can pluck the ball away from his body. Can stack corners vertically and win down the boundary on fades. Sells hard on double moves allowing him to separate and win over top. Consistently plays through contact with notable body control and hand positioning.
Trey Townsend Trey Townsend 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Calhoun | 2024 State GA – QB – Calhoun High School / @TreyTownsend8
Townsend is a very accurate passer, it seems as though all his throws are right on target and only where his receiver can catch it. Impeccable timing on his passes. It just seems like no matter the situation or the defense he is facing, he is always prepared and knows what he needs to do. He has no problem playing through contact, even when he is being hit by multiple players, his eyes stay downfield and he still makes surprisingly accurate throws.
William Gunnings III (Trey) – RB/LB – Warner Robins High School / @iamtreyguns5
Gunnings displays lateral bounce to survey multiple gaps and tremendous footwork that leads to some really clean cuts. He’s patient with his blockers and has the burst to shoot through rushing lanes once they open. Gunnings isn’t shy about finishing through contact and making sure he falls forward.
