Heuseveldt enters our rankings as a top ten running back in his class across the region and is a physical downhill player that runs behind his pads and looks for contact in the hole. He is a low to the ground compact runner that flashes contact balance, leg drive through contact and seemingly always falls forward gaining the tough yards. Still working on third level speed, he is explosive through the first level and shows some patience when reading his blocks before sticking his toe in the ground and getting vertical. Also able to catch the ball out of the backfield, he is a versatile back that is a natural runner with big play abilities. Heuseveldt is a D-III+ player that should draw some college interest through next season.
Harris is a bit undersized, but a explosive runner with good vision in tight windows, a low pad level through the hole and shows some short area quickness to make defenders miss in the open field. Through the hole, he is patient and waits for his blocks to develop while not afraid to bounce it outside if needed with the speed to gain the edge and force defenders to take poor angles. In-between the tackles, he gets vertical quickly and has quick foot speed through the hole with cutback abilities opposite block flow and a second level burst. Harris is in line for a big Senior season for Sugar-Salem and will only improve as he continues to work on his third level speed in the open field.
Highlights
Frei is a two-way star for Moscow on the third level and in the backfield/out wide and can play a variety of positions at the next level. He is a instinctual very explosive athlete with a strong initial burst and a open field gear while able to bounce off arm/ankle tackles and can make big plays with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he is an outstanding tackler, takes good angles in the open field and can knife tackle bigger ball carriers while fluid in transition with ball skills/high point ability when breaking up passes. He is one of the regions best two-way skill players and should have a big Senior season in 2023.
