Amarion Fortenberry Amarion Fortenberry 5’11” | 160 lbs | ATH Columbia | 2024 State MS is an athlete who has been effective in various roles. Fortenberry consistently plays at a high level utilizing several different techniques and from different alignments. His confidence and ability to make big time hits, interceptions and deflections makes him an excellent prospect. His presence on a defensive backfield on a colligiate team would bolster the defense. Amarion has received attention from several programs such as Alcorn, Southern Miss and more. I expect more interest and offers to come his way as he performs this offseason and in the fall.
Owens is a defensive end/outside linebacker who has been incredibly productive throughout his time at Oak Grove. The 6-5 250lb athlete possesses both power and mobility needed to be an effective presence in both the run game and the passing game. Up to this point Owens has received a clear offer from Southern Miss however it is likely that more offers and interest will come his way. The way which he conducts himself on the field helps his standing as a prospect. It will be interesting to see how his value as a prospect increases. Going to camps would prove to be a beneficial action.
Alfred Thompkins Alfred Thompkins 6’2″ | 215 lbs | LB Holmes County Central | 2024 State MS describes himself as a jack of all trades. This claim is backed up by his ability to be disruptive at the point of attack, play downhill and make tackles for close to no gain. Thompkins flashes great football instinct and frequently puts himself in the right positions to make an impact. Alfred’s performance has won him several distinctions such as player of the game and more. Alfred is set to play a significant role on his team and see his value as a prospect continue to rise. This spring it will be interesting to see how he performs during spring ball and if he can contiue to exponentially improve from year to year.
Eric Moore is a 3 star stud out of Ocean Springs. This past season Moore recorded over 100 tackles and was incredibly effective on the defensive unit. What is impressive about Moore is his ability to read blocks, scrape over the top and make a play on the football. Furthermore, Eric’s ability to effortlessly move through the line of scrimmage makes him an elite linebacker with great intangible skills. Eric currently has a couple offers but will most likely gain more as he continues to progress.
Highlights
Timothy is a formidable opponent for whoever lines up against him on the opposing line of scrimmage. His play style and size remind me of Vita Vea with Tampa Bay. Spann is often described as a moving tank on the field. He is a fierce competitor who brings intensity on every play. With the current trajectory of Spann’s career I would say that He has the potential to land on several D1 rosters and potentially the NFL. He is surely a great athlete to watch this spring and into the fall as well.
