His size and strength will play at the DII level. He was a three-time All-State honoree. He is expected to play for the East Team in the 2023 Kansas Shrine Bowl. Coming from a program like Rossville's he knows how to win. He is expected to play in the Kansas Shrine Bowl for the East squad. During his senior year, he finished with 51 tackles, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles. If Spiller was a couple of inches taller and played at a larger school he might have gotten more Division I looks. Spiller finished with 24 receptions for 458 yards. He is an explosive athlete and could have an immediate impact on special teams for Emporia State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cooper Novacek, 5'9”, 175, DB, Olathe West</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Novacek had 116 tackles to finish third in Kansas Class 6A in total tackles as a senior for Olathe West. He collected 103 total tackles with 10 tackles for loss in his senior campaign. He hunts for the football forcing four fumbles and recovering two. He rushed for 587 yards and eight touchdowns his senior year. He recorded over 3,700 rushing yards and 250 tackles in his career. He caught 29 balls his season year, three of which were for touchdowns. He was second on the Spartans squads in yards receiving with 334.
