Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Jakob Gude – DB – Langston Hughes
A hard-hitting defender who saw his recruitment take off last month, Gube is a versatile defender who can play safety and some possible outside linebacker at the next level. A tough, physical tackler, Gube showed impressive instincts and a natural feel for the game last season, leading Sandy Creek all the way to the state championship game. In 2023 the playmaking defender will be playing at Langston Hughes, giving the reigning 6A champions another big-time D1-caliber defender next fall. Thee 6-foot-0 185-pounds is a smooth runner, he reacts quickly, and shows impressive ball skills. He’s also a stout special teams player who always finds a way to make a big play. He was a playmaking machine last season and it’s led to major offers from Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, among others. Look for him to shoot up the 2024 rankings in the next Prep Redzone update.
Jordan Supa Cardentey – DT – Creekside
A tough, physical interior defensive lineman who is one of the best in the Atlanta area, Cardentey may have missed six games last season, but that hasn’t stopped D1 programs from extending an offer. A thick, powerful defensive tackle who can still add more muscle at 6-foot-2 275-pounds, the Fairburn native is one of the top D1 prospects on a loaded Creekside defense. He can be a game-changer from the inside, shedding blocks with ease and making play after play in the backfield. He can blow up a play before it gets going, allowing the Seminole defense to stop opposing offenses early in drives. He closes running lanes in the middle of the trenches and appeared to be one of the toughest defenders to run at in the region. He has a great motor, plays until the whistle, and knows how to deliver a big hit on the ball-carrier. He earned a recent offer from Miami and it likely won’t be his last.
Ronald Moore Ronald Moore 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Spalding | 2024 State GA JR – Spalding
One of the more underrated defensive backs across Georgia, Moore Jr. is a quick-reacting cornerback prospect with quick feet and natural cover skills. He’s a long, athletic defensive back who has no problem lining up with the opposing team’s best receiver. He can play physical, and when the ball is in the air, he’s going to come down with it. He reads the quarterback as well as any defensive back in the area and closes quickly when the ball is coming his way. At 5-foot-11 175-pounds, Moore flashed D1 potential last year and his junior film backs up his talent and playmaking ability. He was a game-changer in the secondary last season for Spalding, picking off six passes last year as a junior. His ball skills are easy to notice and it’s led to recent offers from UAB, Georgia State, and Liberty.
