The Red Raiders had a bunch of guys ranked in 2023. They’ve got more in the 2024 class, including an amazing athlete, imposing players on the OL and DL, and an outstanding kicker. There are two DBs already in the mix in the 2025 rankings.
The Red Raiders have a ton of talent and a ton of potential. Here’s a look at the guys who have Greenville atop our standings among team with ranked players.
Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC WR, 2023
Originally committed to Minnesota, Brown played himself into a Clemson offer, which he quickly accepted. He was a force for the Red Raiders, and it feels weird to say it, but it did it rather quietly. Well, as quiet as you can consider 59 catches, 937 yards, and a dozen touchdowns. He also threw a TD pass, and ran for 87 yards and another score. Fast, twitchy, physical, and good in traffic, Brown’s got all the tools.
Luke Schuller Luke Schuller 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Greenville | 2023 State SC LB, 2023
Schuller might not be a prototype LB, but he IS a tackle machine. He turned in 131 stops as a senior to lead the Red Raiders, and controlled the middle of the field for Greenville. Schuller added 11 tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, seven hurries, an interception, two pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries, and three blocked punts.
Thomas Edmonson Thomas Edmonson 5'11" | 190 lbs | LB Greenville | 2023 State SC LB, 2023
Edmondson’s another Greenville LB who jumped off the tape last year. He joined Schuller with triple-digit tackles, notching 107. He also contributed 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, eight hurries, four interceptions, four pass break-ups, five fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles. Look for defensive havoc in Greenville highlights from the 2022 season, and Edmondson was generally somewhere nearby.
Mazeo Bennett Mazeo Bennett 6'0" | 170 lbs | ATH Greenville | 2024 State SC ATH, 2024
Bennett does a bunch of things a bunch of ways for Greenville. Last year, he was an offensive machine, racking up more than 1,000 combined offensive yards. He rushed for 221 yards, more than 11 yards per carry, and seven TDs. He had 47 catches for 857 yards and 14 more scores. He added three tackles and a pass break-up on defense, and more than 600 kick return yards for the Red Raiders, with two more TDs. The South Carolina commit is the real deal.
Blake Franks Blake Franks 6'5" | 310 lbs | OL Greenville | 2024 State SC OL, 2024
Franks has got the complete package for an OL. He’s massive. He’s physical. He’s quick enough at tackle to pull, and to get to the second level as a lead-blocker. And, he’s got the nasty streak that OL coaches love, finishing plays well down the field.
Jayden Wilson-Abrams Jayden Wilson-Abrams 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL Greenville | 2024 State SC DL, 2024
Wilson-Abrams, a highly-touted DL, sure lived up to the billing last season. He showed the ability to take over up front, and compiled 54 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, and 13 hurries. He also had a pair of fumble recoveries and forced a fumble, and still seems to be just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of doing.
Thomas Guererro Thomas Guererro 5'9" | 140 lbs | P Greenville | 2024 State SC K, 2024
Guerrero was maddeningly consistent for Greenville, booting 78 of 81 extra points successfully. He added three field goals, with a long of 39, and had a 35.8 yard punting average, killing four kicks inside the 20-yard line.
Bruce Knauber Bruce Knauber 6'2" | 295 lbs | DL Greenville | 2024 State SC DL, 2024
Knauber showed surprising versatility for a DL last season. He knocked down a pass. He forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, and blocked a punt. He had 69 tackles and nine tackles for loss. But at the heart of it, he did what all defensive linemen want to do: he got after the QB. Knauber had five sacks and an eye-popping 23 QB hurries, leading a very talented Greenville defense in both categories. He’s powerful, quick, and sometimes un-blockable.
Christian Henderson Christian Henderson 5'8" | 160 lbs | DB Greenville | 2025 State SC DB, 2025
Henderson might have the most immediate upside and impact for the Red Raiders of any player on this list. He missed last year with an injury after transferring over from Southside Christian, has no tape to speak of from last season, and still holds a lofty ranking. Yeah, he’s that good. When healthy, Henderson is a game-changer.
Ramani Bruton Ramani Bruton 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Greenville | 2025 State SC DB, 2025
In Henderson’s absence, Bruton made people notice him last season. Six interceptions will do that. He also broke up seven additional passes, and added 26 total tackles and two tackles for a loss. If the Greenville secondary is fully healthy, there’s no good place to throw it. In Bruton’s direction certainly won’t be the answer.
