Cade Chappell
Cade Chappell returns for his senior year at Savannah after a ten-win season. Cade looks to finish his career leading the Savannah rushing attack for a third year in a row.
Cade’s power jumps off the tape in his contact-seeking finish. Cade’s speed & quickness gets put on display when he is forced to create at a disrupted point of attack. Good instincts show navigating through a muddled point of entry in an inside zone. Not many receptions in Savannah’s offense, but college coaches will take note of Cade’s solid hands out of the backfield.
Hunter Bailey
Hunter Bailey
Hunter Bailey looks to complete a four-year letter-winning career in 2023. The Adrian football team is hungry to get back on the field after a state championship loss.
Hunter’s burst shows getting through the second level on the inside zone. Hunter’s patience shows setting up power runs while his good balance allows him to earn extra yards after contact. Coaches will take note of Hunter’s athleticism which allows him to escape small spaces and slip past defenders in the open field.
Ryan Spurgeon
Ryan Spurgeon
A playmaker for St. James on both sides of the ball, Ryan Spurgeon looks to build off of his all-state junior year. With the departure of a fellow all-state teammate, Ryan looks to help his team rebound in his final year.
Ryan shows his top gear scoring on sweeps from an H-TE alignment. Ryan does not shy away from contact, but his quickness shows slipping defenders in close quarters. Good instincts show as a punt returner while Ryan’s vision is consistently on display finding creases running jet sweeps. Ryan’s height, vision, and long speed make him an offensive player for college coaches to watch in 2023.
Trevor Klein Trevor Klein 5’7″ | 165 lbs | RB East Buchanan | 2024 State MO was the main option for East Buchanon’s offense last year. After back-to-back state championship victories, college coaches should be making the trip to Gower for more than one Bulldog.
Trevor’s home run speed gets displayed gliding to the end zone untouched on screen plays out of the backfield. Their good balance and strength show running through defensive backs that are a foot taller than him. A versatile athlete for East Buchanon, Trevor shows his athleticism in a catch radius larger than his 5’7 fame. Trevor’s ability to create after the catch in contested underneath zones will add value to his recruitment as a slot receiver.
Highlights
Waylon DeGrave Waylon DeGrave 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Monroe City | 2024 State MO is an offensive specialist for Monroe City High School and projects to wide receiver at the next level. Size and speed make Waylon a great mismatch for Monroe aligned anywhere on the field.
Waylon’s long speed shows tracking the football while his athleticism allows him to adjust & extend outside his frame at the catch point. Waylon’s home run ability consistently shows running sweeps out of Monroe’s Wing T formation. Quickness and vision allow Waylon to glide through defenders as a kick returner. Having already completed game day visits from the FCS to the Big 12, I would expect Waylon’s recruitment to pick up steam as the year goes on.
