Review:
Lewiston is another program that is really making a name for themselves as they have had back to back seven win seasons. Unfortunately that have run into some very good teams in the first round of the playoffs and have come out on the wrong side of the score board. The Bengals teams can be defined by being hard nosed and tough. It is hard to beat the Bengals at home and you have to know going into the game that it is going to be a war for four quarters as this team never seems to quit. They are extremely physical with and unorthodox offense and a defense that really enjoys making people hurt at the end of the game. Offensively the Bengals have a really talented junior coming back at quarterback who can really throw the football down the field and has the ability to keep defenses honest with his legs. Where the Bengals really shine is their use of multiple running backs with motions and shifts along with miss direction. They players that touched the football for the Bengals are all talented with the ability to take it to the house along with being extremely difficult to take down on every play. The offensive line were nasty and really enjoyed physically dominating every play. They were the tone setters for the Bengals this season and really were the heart and soul for this Bengals offense. Defensively they are tough and that is the best way to describe them. A group that played team defense with a defensive line that was stout and strong. Linebackers who made plays in the biggest moments and were some of the hardest hitting players we saw on film all year. In the backend they have studs who were not afraid to get in receivers faces or come up to hit a running back. This Bengals team is one of the most physical you could have seen all year and never left the field with out giving it their all. This program is really on the up swing as one of the best in the entire state and will be looking to make a deep playoff push in the next season. Dont be surprised to hear about the Bengals of Lewiston as one of the top seeds in the 5A ranks next season.
