Juan Gaston Jr. – OL – Westlake
A mammoth offensive tackle with elite athleticism for his size at 6-foot-7 330-pounds, Gaston Jr. is an elite offensive tackle who dominated for the Westlake Lions last year as a sophomore. His father played basketball at Georgia Tech, and the younger Gaston has those same athletic traits. He has a lean frame for someone 330-pounds and moves extremely well. He shows good feet, plays with balance, toughness, and can bully opposing defenders with ease. He checks all the boxes due to his size, length, athleticism, and overall potential, making him an easy 5-star candidate in the 2025 class. After an outstanding 2022 season and a dominant performance recently at the 2023 Under Armour Camp in Atlanta, Prep Redzone now ranks Gaston Jr. as the No. 1 player in Georgia for the 2025 class.
Elijah Griffin Elijah Griffin 6'5" | 270 lbs | DL Savannah Christian | 2025 State GA – Savannah Christian Prep
If you saw Griffin play in person last year, it’s hard to wrap your mind around the fact that he was just a sophomore. A dominant EDGE defender with plenty of size and a promising frame at 6-foot-4 270-pounds, Griffin is coming off an outstanding sophomore season where he got after the quarterback with ease, bullying opposing linemen all season long. He looks the part physically, but his quickness off thee ball and ability to deliver a big hit on the ball-carrier makes him an true 5-star defender in the 2025 class. He’s big, strong, fast, and consistently flashes with eye-opening plays. Just a sophomore, Griffin played like a seasoned veteran last year, reading plays, reacting quickly, and making everything he does look easy. He jumped one spot forward in the latest rankings, now coming in as the No. 2 prospect in Georgia for thee 2025 class. In the fall of 2022, the elite defender made 30 TFLs, 14.5 sacks and 14 QB hurries.
Zayden Walker – RB – Schley County
Ranked No. 3 and the top linebacker prospect in the state, Walker is a dynamic defender who can also run through you as a running back as well. The small-town athlete out of Schley County was excellent as a sophomore last season, Walker is a physically imposing linebacker with strength, quickness, and natural instincts. He’s tough, but knows how to run at 6-foot-3 225-pounds. He’s a player with just about every major college offer already and it’s easy to see why. He’s such a disruptive defender, making an outstanding 12 tackles behind the line of scrimmage last year. He also added three sacks and two INTs during his impressive sophomore season, showing he can make big plays in a number of different ways. He’s a fun player to watch, and he has 5-star written all over him in the 2025 class.
Jontae Gilbert Jontae Gilbert 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Douglass | 2025 State GA – Douglass
It’s hard to find a better looking DB prospect in Georgia for the 2025 class than Atlanta native, Jontae Gilbert Jontae Gilbert 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Douglass | 2025 State GA . One of the top young prospects across Georgia for any position, Gilbert has great size for his age at 6-foot-2 180-pounds who plays with a physical presence. He’s a natural cover corner with quick feet, fluid hips, impressive reaction time, and dependable ball skills in the secondary. He’s a hard-hitting defender who can also help in the run game and on special teams. He’s already one best players on the field at all times and he consistently flashed as a sophomore. Without a doubt one of the top cornerback prospects in the South, it’s easy to see why Prep Redzone has him now ranked as the No. 4 prospect in Georgia for his class. He’s currently committed to Ohio State, but other schools aren’t giving up on his recruitment.
Justus Terry Justus Terry 6'5" | 270 lbs | DL Manchester | 2025 State GA – Manchester
A physically imposing defender already with a chiseled frame at already at 6-foot-5 265-pounds, Terry looks like a professional wrestler already with plenty of muscle on him. He doesn’t look like a sophomore, and neither does his film from the 2022 season. Terry was a bully in the middle of Manchester’s defensive line all season long, shredding blocks with ease and making play after play in the backfield. His quickness off the ball is impressive for his size and he has the ability to blow up any particular play if not double-teamed. He’s tough to knock backwards, making him tough to handle for anyone in one-on-one situations. He looks like a 5-star and played like one during his sophomore season, making it easy to slide him into the No. 5 spot in the latest Prep Redzone rankings for thee 2025 class. The versatile defender is currently committed to play for the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.
