His play earned him recognition as a candidate for Gatorade Player of the year. He appears as a gun slinger who has good accuracy. Does a good job with ball placement allowing receivers to continue in stride. Shows a command presence behind center. Has good pocket awareness and can escape the pocket when needed with his legs or throwing on the run. Arm strength appears sufficient. His Head Coach states: ” this kid is the real deal and worth the look. I’d be excited to see him continue leading a college offense.”

On defense, he had 46 tackles. His 2022 season play earned him GBL League ALL STAR honors. He served as a captain of his football team as a sophomore. Due to injury of a teammate, he was asked to step in at quarterback mid season. He then lead the team to 5 straight wins. He has 3.1821 academic GPA. He is a player that can play different skill positions on both offense and defense. He has good game speed. Mason Frey Mason Frey 6’2″ | 225 lbs | LB Fairfield Prep | 2025 State New E is 6’1″ 210lbs and attends Fairfield College Prep in Connecticut. He is positioned at linebacker for his team. During his 2022 season he played in 12 games and compiled 12 solo tackles along with 33 assisted tackles for a total of 45 tackles in the season. He also had 5 sacks and 8 tackles for losses. He is no stranger to the weight room during the season and also in the off season. He recently posted a maximum squat amount of 425lbs.
After semester 1 grades he has an academic accumulative gpa (4.004). His film shows he certainly is a good young edge player with a high ceiling and time to grow and continue to develop. He brings the ability to make secure tackles with a very aggressive and physical mentality. Very disruptive to the opponents backfield in many phases. Shows the ability to fight to keep the edge with good hand placement on blockers and technique used to make the play. He is a relentless pursuer and gives consistent effort each rep.
Highlights
Logan Josti Logan Josti 6’3″ | 220 lbs | QB David Prouty | 2024 State New E is 6’3″ 205lbs who attends David Prouty High School in Spencer, Ma. He was positioned as a quarterback and linebacker for his team this past season. He made a bigger name for himself this 2022 season by breaking his own school record with 2628 passing yards in a season and finished second in the state in passing yards in his 1st season playing quarterback. He has a timed 40yrd speed of 4.8. He also stood out on defense where he was second on his team in tackles from his LB spot showing his desire to play physical and aggressive. He currently has a 4.0 academic GPA. His film shows he has a nice athletic lean muscular frame. His pocket awareness is good and he surely has no problem carrying the ball if receivers are covered. When he does run the ball, he will use a vicious stiff arm to keep defenders from engaging. His throws appear sharp and with a quick release from the wrist with good arm strength. Ball placement and accuracy of his throws are good. He surely fits the profile of a D1 recruit and time will tell where he ends up. Head Coach Don Brown of Umass recently visited the young star and they appear high on his skill set. I expect he will see a slew of additional coaches coming in to visit during the 2023 spring evaluation period. His Head Coach states: ” he is arguably the best 2023 QB. He is no slouch. with him in our offense he makes all his own protection calls based on front, pre and post snap reads in pass and run game as well as can audible into and out of any play.” Solid Recruit with high ceiling.
