I will say it with this list, I would have every single one of these young men on my recruiting board in the 2024 and 2024 classes.
Logan Bacon, WR/DB, Lake Mills (2024) Twitter
- Logan shows off some well-balanced footwork when you first windup his junior tape, as you can gauge early he’s a “right place right time” type of prospect. He also shows off some fluidity in the range he can cover as a sideline to sideline defensive back that will chase down a ball carrier in the open field.
- Logan has really consistent longevity in his reps, as I am really impressed with the total field vision he has within his skillsets. Certainly looks like a prospect that will be a great fit at a scholarship-level football program as that football instincts he has are only going to get better.
Cameron Manary Cameron Manary 5'10" | 210 lbs | LB Ottumwa | 2025 State IA , LB/FB, Ottumwa (2025) Twitter
- The first look of tape I saw from Cameron shows off a gritty fullback that plays way bigger than his 5’10 205 pound measurables show off as this young man gave defenders a heck of time trying to bring him down with his excellent durability he has within his skillsets. He also runs with a lot more length in his strides than he will get credit for from the blind eye.
- Defensively, Cameron shows off that quick trigger off the snap and shows off some fluid range with his well seen motor to get to the outside back and make a hefty hit on the ball carrier. He also shows glimpses of what he can do in pass coverage as well with a locked in ball tracking ability however also can pull off on short routes and erupt his big physicality into the backfield. You can tell this kid is workhorse in the weight room too, as he’s added 30 pounds since our last 2025 update going from 175 to 205 pounds. Cameron is certainly a two-way prospect ot watch in the 2025 class out of SE Iowa.
Luke Sternberg Luke Sternberg 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH AHSTW | 2025 State IA , RB/ATH, AHSTW (2025) Twitter
- Luke shows off some promising developed burst from all levels of the football field and I love watching this young man’s balance and durability in his crafts especially around the edges of the field. Luke you can already tell has a solid football IQ for his age, as the dynamic instincts he shows off when he’s unloading his vision within his cuts show off not just great patient, but an ability to escape into another small gap that only superb athletes like Luke can create separation thru.
- Luke also shows off how slippery he is off contact as you can evaluate his up-field senses kick in once he uses his agility to get thru the early traffic areas in the inside box. Also to mention, that Luke also had 4 interceptions last year as a sophomore so there is upside as an athlete on both sides of the field that college coaches should pay attention to over the next several months. Broke a school record for rushing yards as a sophomore as well.
Myles Gardner Myles Gardner 6'4" | 195 lbs | LB Waterloo West | 2025 State IA , LB/WR, Columbus Catholic (2025) Twitter
- Myles is another two-way prospect on our list and one that intrigues me most at the linebacker spot, for just how good his feel is in pass-coverage over the tough middle of the field. Myles also has that bend I like for the linebacker spot and shows off a plethora of physicality as a knock back tackler when he gets downhill into the backfield.
- Myles also shows off well-balance aggression in his ball-tracking ability as a linebacker, as you can gauge into his vision a ton on short routes that he has the length at 6’3 to compensate for not much wiggle room for the QB to fit the ball into. The biggest growth I can see from this young man is developing a quick trigger off the snap with his downhill motor as a run-stopper as if he can grow on his slightly raw speed that will certainly make him a LB to watch even closer in the coming years.
Dante Hedrington Dante Hedrington 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Atlantic | 2024 IA , RB, Atlantic (2024) Twitter
- If there is a proper way to show off your physicality from a skill position, you will need to watch Atlantic RB Dante Hedrington Dante Hedrington 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Atlantic | 2024 IA ‘s first clip from his junior season. I like the patient vision this young man instills within high traffic areas of the inside gap and then has the quick trigger to bounce it outside to use his stamina in the open field.
- Dante also shows off some fluid durability for his size off of first contact and shows off the agile durability to bounce off tackles with good balance. A development I see for Dante is growing with his strides on longer runs to finish them off with more finesse. He certainly is an Iowa RB prospect to track at camps this summer as he’s grown as a stockriser from 2021 into 2023.
Quinton Tran Quinton Tran 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Iowa City High | 2024 IA , QB, Clear Creek Amana (2024)
- Although Quinton only had two starts last season due to injury, I came away with my first look of this kid with his quick release which shows off a fiery arm with that release. Quinton also shows off some great precision, completing 65% of his throws in those two games and over 1100 yards passing.
- Quinton shows off some wiry well-balanced throwing mechanics that show off a plethora of poise when he is throwing from inside the packet. Quinton recently moved to Clear Creek Amana, and has to be fired up to get more reps to show off to college coaches this summer on the prospect camp trail.
