Continue ReadingThis week we took a deeper look at this class. The 2024 is a very loaded class. These guys are on deck ready to make a name for themselves. There are still guys under the radar waiting to break their name out. Let’s look at some of the prospects.
Jeremiah Carter, LB, Austin
Carter is an aggressive linebacker who loves to attack the football. Carter is a 6-foot, 195-pound guy who handles offensive linemen with ease. He also can get in gaps fast when he recognizes a play. Carter does a good job when he is playing in zone coverage. I haven’t seen him at a camp, but I would love to see him in man coverage. He can shed blocks and make nice tackles. He also does a good job tackling in open space. Carter has what it takes to play on the next level.
Skylar Townsend Skylar Townsend 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Tanner | 2024 State AL , WR, Tanner
Townsend is a redzone threat. He also can be a deep threat. He has long arms that help him go over defenders to make acrobatic catches. Townsend can also be a big target over the middle. I can see him gaining more weight. I can also see him playing on the defensive side of the football. Townsend needs to do some work on his route running. He needs to be more fluent when he makes cuts. The better competition that he faces will be able to detect where he will go. I think he is a very talented prospect. I’ll definitely be keeping up with him.
Solomon Moore, DT, Calera
Moore is a major plug in the middle of your offense. He holds his own. Moore is very disciplined at his position. If he can’t make the tackle, he will cause a very big pile. This young man also knows how put pressure on a quarterback. He is a big boy that knows how to move. You won’t see many offensive linemen getting the best of Moore. He is going to wake some recruiters up soon.
Jay Williams Jay Williams 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Handley | 2024 State AL , LB, Handley
Williams is a stud. This young man loves smash mouth football. He is going to get in guys faces to make big plays. Williams knows how to attack the runner. He gets you to the ground on contact. There won’t be any dragging him around. Williams is a strong guy that has a lot of size. He is a stocky player that isn’t easy to block. I would love to see what he plays like in space. I’ll be sure to keep up with him. This season.
