As the senior quarterbacks close the chapters of their high school careers, the players who are next up are set to step in the spotlight. For the young quarterbacks who may still have to bide their time, their continued development will help them better prepare for when their number gets called.
This article will briefly examine five quarterbacks on track to become some of the top quarterbacks in the state.
Worley is the new QB1 for the reigning 4A state champions with high expectations as a varsity starter. He is a big quarterback with a stocky build and excellent athleticism. His powerful running abilities and arm strength make him a legitimate dual-threat quarterback who can hit receivers on deep routes in stride or run through linebackers. Worley is one of the top quarterbacks in his class who will be running the offense for the top 4A team in the state, making him a must-know player.
Highlights
Noblitt is expected to be the new QB1 for the team that had the leading passer for the state. He has good arm strength and the ability to thread the needle in tight coverage on intermediate throws. Noblitt is another highly anticipated quarterback who will potentially take over a dynamic offense with talented receivers.

Blitz McCarty
Blitz McCarty
McCarty is a young player with a high ceiling. His ability to understand and break down the game at an advanced level is a testament to him being a coach’s son. He first appeared on the radar at a 7-on-7 tournament, where he called the plays for the older team that helped them win the series. McCarty can shock the area once he has the opportunity to showcase his talents on the varsity level.
Johnson is a talented dual-threat quarterback with outstanding athleticism. He does a great job at staying light on his feet while in the pocket and staying aware of the pressure from the pass rush. His decision-making is quick and decisive, and his arm strength allows him to put good zip on the ball. Johnson is in a situation where he can possibly earn playing time on varsity next season, but he is a player worth knowing regardless of which level he plays at in the fall.

Radi is a young quarterback with an outstanding pocket presence and impressive footwork. He has a strong arm with accurate ball placement and the ability to put the ball in spots that only his receivers can reach. He is another player who popped up on the scene last summer during a 7-on-7 workout. Radi is a talented player with a very high ceiling, making him a quarterback to watch.
