Bunderson plays on the outside for meridian but it built more like a slot receiver with the ability to really get in and out of his break to go along with an elite feel for spacing and route running. He has a variety of tools in his tool belt that allows him to setup defenders with a variety of moves at the line of scrimmage and in his route stem. Has a quick burst out of his break that allows him to separate from defenders and create run after the catch opportunities. Has solid pass catching hands but also has a unique ability to determine when to use his body to shield off defenders. Can go up and win 50/50 balls and is always competing. A willing blocker who runs his feet on contact and is not afraid to block linebackers and safeties in the run scheme. Should be setup for a big senior year and will be one of the highlights of the Meridian offense this season.
Highlights
Ikebe is one of the top slot receivers in the state of Idaho, he has one of the best route running packages we have seen on film. He has elite knowledge of how to set up defenders in his route with a variety of false steps, nods and route stems. Where he truly excels is in his understanding of spacing on the field where he is able to know where defenders are at and the sideline at all times. His routes never seem to run out of space on the field which leads to more catches. Quicker than he is fast not to say he doesn’t have legit speed but his ability to bend and burst out of his breaks create a ton of separation from defenders. A natural pass catcher that plucks the football out of the air and is not afraid to compete for the 50/50 football. Competes with larger defenders in the run game and has good positional blocking on the perimeter. Going to have a big year for Rocky Mountain in his senior year.
Highlights
Pinegar is a true #1 outside receiver who uses his size to constantly box out defenders and win the football at its highest point. A true 50/50 ball threat that has no problem jumping over the top of defenders and a threat for a back shoulder ball at any times. Has the ability to stretch the field on posts and deep verticals but really excels in the intermediate where he shows off strong natural pass catching ability. As he grows and his speed continues to increase his production is going to skyrocket as he has all the tools to be a dominant outside receiving threat. A dominant blocker on the edge that consistently handles small corners and safeties. Runs his feet on contact and doesnt get out of position very often on the edge. One of the top returning outside receivers and should really be ready for a huge senior year.
Highlights
Steffler is another bright spot coming back for Rigby this season as he is ready to make a big jump from his junior to senior season. Another receiver that uses his elite quickness to his advantage on the football field. Really hard to match up with for corners and safeties he makes a living on the catch and run. Has really good straight line speed that allows him to stretch the defense and make hug plays in the passing game. Understands how to save space for his quarterback on the outside and he never seems to get bumped off his routes. Elite tracking ability that allows him to focus on football coming out of the air and shields defenders away from the football. Tough on the outside as he doesnt get pressed very often and has a good feel for how to beat defenders in the route scheme. One to look for this season for the Trojans for sure!
