Laufau impressed in 2022 with 10 sacks. The Panthers pass rusher can get after quarterbacks lining up inside or out. Laufau has a bevy of moves he can throw at offensive linemen and uses his hands exceptionally well. In addition, he has quick feet he uses to make play after play in the backfield. Laufau has an impressive spin move he uses to beat blockers to both the inside and outside. Against one of the best teams in the country, the Mater Dei Monarchs, Lafua made play after play against some of the top high school offensive linemen in the nation.

Vaka abused opposing players in the trenches all year long for the Stallions, and he did it all while playing both ways. He drives offensive linemen back into quarterbacks lap play after play and can stand up double teams all 48 minutes. Vaka does a great job holding his gap and can toss offensive linemen aside just in time to make a big play in the ground game. In addition, he’s an exceptional athlete who can line up over offensive tackles and set the edge or plug up the middle of the field. Vaka is one of the state’s strongest players, and he does a good job gaining and maintaining leverage against offensive linemen.

Speredon is lighting quick off the snap. He often beats offensive linemen out of their stances to wreck plays in the backfield. Speredon’s speed off the edge helps him make tackles even when offenses run away from him. He does a great job setting the edge, and constantly forces runs back inside. Speredon does a good job recognizing when he’s unblocked and can’t take out pullers to slow down offenses. In addition, he displays excellent strength by tossing linemen out of the way to make tackles on running backs and quarterbacks alike.
Benson Kofe || DL || 6’0 || 265 || Cyprus High School || 2024
Kofe has been making noise in camps, and it’s easy to see why when looking back on his game tape. He fires off low and puts pressure on quarterbacks all game long. Once he gets his hands locked onto offensive linemen, they have difficulty moving him back. Kofe is quick off the snap and can go right through or around offensive linemen. He impresses with elite athleticism and the way he uses his hands to win his individual matchups. Kofe is an elite athlete with the size and strength to dominate his competition in 2023 and beyond.
