Mike Bell, LB- Plant City High c/o 24
6’1 200lbs
Bell is a player out of Plant City High that I think is really going to turn some heads next season. Last season he finished with 51 tackles, 1 tfl, 1 sack, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 forced fumbles in 7 games. He’s a two sport athlete that also averages over 7 ppg in basketball. Smart player that trusts his eyes and gets to the ball, has the ability to time the snap and shoot the gaps into the backfield, flashes physicality to rock back blockers and get to the football.
DeShawn Bellamy DeShawn Bellamy 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH The Villages Charter | 2024 FL , DB/ATH- Villages Charter High c/o 24
5’10 185lbs
Bellamy is a player whose stock is on the rise after having a solid 2022 season. He finished with 49 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 2 force fumbles from his cornerback position. His play this season earned him an invite to our Prep RedZone Stock Up Showcase in January. He’s also an outstanding student with a 3.8 GPA and made the academic All District team. Versatile defensive back that can line up all over the field, shows the ability to jump routes and be a playmaker, does a really good job coming off the edge and making plays in the backfield.
Andrew Smithberger, OL- Sumner High c/o 24
6’5 275lbs
Smithberger had a very good season in 2022 and helped pave the way for a Stingrays rushing attack that produce 2,080 yards, averaged 6.6 yards per carry with 25 rushing touchdowns. He’s getting a lot of interest from Appalachian State and is a player who stock I believe will really take off this spring. He’s also an outstanding student with a 4.8 GPA! Smithberger shows good body control and can keep his rhythm in pass protection, possesses good balance, and has the ability to absorb power and control defenders. Big upside!
Joseph Mahoney, DB- Ponte Vedra High c/o 24
5’10 165lbs
Mahoney was a playmaker this season for the Sharks, he finished 2022 with 37 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 int, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 forced fumble. Mahoney is a versatile player whether it be blocking multiple kicks this season, forcing fumbles or being an all-out playmaker. Mahoney is physical and competitive, and shows good awareness in coverage whether it be man or zone and flashing acceleration to the ball.
