I am doing a review of 5 players whose field performances were impressive enough to move them up in the player rankings. This is the first player evaluation for the majority of the players in this class.
Jadon Rourk Jadon Rourk 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Westover | 2026 State NC – WR, 5’11” 170 (No. 1 WR, No. 3 Overall), Westover HS. Jadon ran good pass routes and separation from defenders to make catches. He finished the season with 68 receptions for 842 yards and 5 TDs. He averaged 76.5 yards per game and 12.4 yards per catch. Jadon will continue to improve his skillset as he gains valuable playing experience.
Cameron Melvin – ATH, 6’0″ 200 (No. 1 ATH, No. 2 Overall), Cleveland HS. Cameron played on both sides of the ball for his team. He is a power runner who has the speed to accelerate past defenders in the open field. He does not mind running inside to gain tough yardage. Cameron displayed good lateral movement and speed to close quickly on the ball carrier for stops while playing linebacker. He is a talented young player who is already receiving recruiting interest from Power5 schools.
Ekene Ogboko Ekene Ogboko 6'6" | 290 lbs | OL South Garner | 2026 State NC – OL, 6’6″ 270 (No. 1 OL, No. 1 Overall), Riverside HS. Ekene displayed good technique and footwork to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He used his long wingspan and upper body strength to control defenders. He will continue to improve his skillset as he gains valuable playing experience. Ekene has received a D1 offer and more are expected to come.
– TE, 6’7″ 230 (No. 1 TE, No. 5 Overall), Reidsville HS. Kendre’ ran good pass routes and used his body to shield defenders while making catches. He finished the season with 17 receptions for 263 yards and 5 TDs. He averaged 15.5 yards per catch during the season. Kendre’ plays on both sides of the ball for his team. He finished the season with 92 total tackles, 24 which were for losses. Kendre’ has received several Power5 offers and more are expected to come. Kendre’ will continue to improve his skillset as he gains valuable playing experience. He is a standout basketball player, also.
Faizon Brandon Faizon Brandon 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Grimsley | 2026 State NC – QB, 6’4″ 175 (Previous No. 3 QB, No. 1 QB, No. 7 Overall), Grimsley HS. Faizon completed 32 passes for 534 yards and 8 TDs. He averaged 16.7 yards per completion during the season. Faizon completed 72.7 percent of his passes along with 4 interceptions. He had 20 carries for 108 yards and 3 TDs. Faizon finished the season with 642 All-Purpose yards and 11 TDs. He has received D1 offers and more are expected to come. Faizon will continue to improve his skillset as he gains valuable playing experience.
