Dunbar-Hawkins appeared in eight games last season for Mater Dei and had 14 tackles with a pass deflection. He transferred to Mater Dei from Alemany last offseason.
He chose UCLA over 23 other schools that offered him. Dunbar-Hawkins is the first commitment in UCLA’s 2024 recruiting class.
The El Modena linebacker announced his commitment to Weber State on Friday.
Hitchens led El Modena in tackles this season with 117 tackles with six sacks and three interceptions.
He is the fourth player from California in Weber State’s 2023 recruiting class, joining Dylan Gutierrez Dylan Gutierrez 5’11” | 175 lbs | QB Damien | 2023 State CA (Damien), Richie Munoz Richie Munoz 6’0″ | 195 lbs | QB Charter Oak | 2023 State CA (Charter Oak) and Major Givens Major Givens 5’10” | 180 lbs | RB Steele Canyon | 2023 State CA (Steele Canyon).
Warren class of 2024 athlete Jordan Ross Jordan Ross 6’0″ | 175 lbs | WR Warren | 2024 State CA visited Arizona State last weekend and is currently visiting Miami.
Ross had six touchdowns as a receiver for Warren last season and played some defensive back too. He transferred to Warren from Pacifica of Garden Grove last spring.
He has 9 offers with Wisconsin being the last school to offer him.
The Loyola quarterback announced his commitment to Duquense on Wednesday.
Rice threw for 1429 yards with 11 touchdowns this season for Loyola.
He chose Duquense over San Jose State and UNLV who also offered him. He is the first player from California in Duquense’s 2023 recruiting class and the fourth overall.
The class of 2024 offensive lineman from Mission Viejo has picked up four offers in the past 10 days.
Arizona, Penn, Boston College and Arizona State have all offered the All-County lineman recently.
Schroller told 247Sports that he plans on attending junior day at Stanford and visiting Arizona and Boston College this spring.
