Continue ReadingKayden Miller Kayden Miller 5’10” | 165 lbs | ATH Greene County | 2023 State MS is a talented offensive weapon who has been slightly overlooked, in my opinion, throughout his recruitment. He is a back that poses a threat as a runner and pass catcher out of the backfield. His senior year he totaled over 1500 yards from scrimmage, and scored 14 total touchdowns, 9 rushing and 6 receiving. Kayden is a big play waiting to happen and his stats only tell a piece of the tale of how explosively talented this kid is. Miller committed to Jones County Junior College yesterday, and I am pleased with where he decided to further his academic and athletic career. I can see Miller having to wait a year to get on the field due to his build, but you never know. Kayden is a multi-dimensional back that may find his way on the field with his ability to make plays with the ball in his hand. In the next year or two, Look for future Bobcat to be one of the more respected offensive weapons in the state on the Junior College level.
Ty Davis Ty Davis 6’3″ | 205 lbs | QB Itawamba Agricultural | 2023 State MS is Quarterback with a great resume whom has had an exceptional career at helm for the Itawamba Indians. The Elite 11 Quarterback has received a quite a few accolades for his performance, that have helped aggrandize his stock as a prospective recruit. Among those honors are: Offensive MVP for his district, All-State Quarterback for 4A, and being selected as a Mississippi Bernard Blackwell All-Star. In his senior year at Itawamba AHS, Davis amassed nearly 3500 passing yards and completed 68 percent of his passes. Ty was also able to throw 33 touchdowns to only 11 interceptions, yielding a respectable 3:1 touchdown to interception ratio. This type of campaign in his final year warranted Davis to receive attention and offers from several collegiate programs on multiple levels. Ty elected to stay in state and attend one of the most successful and prominent Junior College programs within the past decade, Northwest Community College. Davis enters a program that has a talented Quarterback room, but with his talent and approach to the game, Ty will only add to Northwest’s success. Whether that is now or later on is yet to be determined.
This kid Charleston French Charleston French 5’9″ | 195 lbs | RB Amory | 2023 State MS is a hardworking, 3 down back out of Amory, MS that has a high ceiling! French has chosen to further his playing career at Itawamba Community College, and he will excel there under Head Coach Travis Macon. Charleston French Charleston French 5’9″ | 195 lbs | RB Amory | 2023 State MS is Amory royalty that lived up to the family name with his play on the field. French rushed for over 1600 yards in his senior season and scored 28 touchdowns for the Panthers as well. With his compact yet chiseled frame, Charleston was able to average 9 yards per carry and totaled 10 100+ yard games. One of his more impressive outings came in his final game of last season versus Noxubee County in the North State Championship. He was able to rush for 172 yards and 4 touchdowns on 22 carries. Charleston is a prospect that can make an immediate impact with his running style and how well he is able to assess defensive fronts with his vision. His stats and productivity speak for themselves. With this kids drive and work ethic he will be an asset for ICC in the future, assuming he signs with them.

Tupelo native Zech Pratt Zech Pratt 6’1″ | 165 lbs | DB Tupelo | 2023 State MS Jr. is a talented Defensive Back that has performed well when put into pressure cooker situations throughout last season. Pratt was able to put up impressive numbers in his final high school season last year. He totaled 60 tackles(36 solo), 11 Pass Deflections, and 5 interceptions on the year. Chris was a reliable Corner and anchor for the secondary of that auspicious Tupelo Golden Wave Defense. His performances and reliability helped their program to a 13-1 record, their only loss coming in the playoffs. Pratt posses the prototypical size, athleticism, and game to be successful on the next level. Rightfully so, Chris received offers from most of the Junior Colleges in the state, and also few upper level programs such as Faulkner University, Florida Memorial, and Kentucky Christian. Pratt made the logical decision in my eyes. He decided to further his career with Itawamba Community College, and I’m excited to see where he moves on to play from there. ICC is adding another hardworking dawg to the foal that can contribute early on.
Jeffrey Hobbs
Jeffrey Hobbs
Mr. Jeffrey Hobbs, is a long and athletic Defensive End out of Mendenhall headed to Southwest Community College to join Coach Trevor Stigers D-Block. Yesterday the 2023 prospect committed to Southwest via Twitter, and I think it will be a great fit for him with what they do defensively. Hobbs is a quick defensive end that I can see doubling as an edge rusher or a book end with his size, mobility, and motor. He is a tirelessly relentless defender that uses his hands well. With that 4.7 speed and his long arms if Jeffrey can add strength and a set of pass rush moves to his repertoire, he will be a problem in the future. He was only offered by a handful of Mississippi’s Junior Colleges, but he was courted by about half of them. I’m eager to see what his future holds, and what that revenge tour looks like!
