Colby Duncan Colby Duncan 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Gross Catholic | 2024 State NE | QB | Gross Catholic | 6’1″ 170 lbs
#95 to #31
Despite not quite finishing how they wanted, it can’t be denied that the Gross Catholic Cougars had a season for the books. Leading the offense was junior Colby Duncan Colby Duncan 6'1" | 175 lbs | QB Gross Catholic | 2024 State NE , who was one of the most improved prospects in general. Colby completed 60% of his passes for 1,815 yards and 21 passing touchdowns while adding 262 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns. Colby likes to push the ball deep downfield, and he has the arm and touch to deliver the ball on a rope. Duncan does a good job fitting the ball into tight windows and only where his guy can get it. Another thing that stood out was Colby’s mobility inside and out of the pocket and even showed the ability to make cross-body throws. Colby and the Cougars will have another shot at running it back in hopes of capturing the state championship.
Parker Borer Parker Borer 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Boone Central | 2024 State NE | RB/ATH | Boone Central | 5’10” 175 lbs
#100 to #35
Do NOT sleep on the Boone Central 2024 class, especially do-it-all back Parker Borer Parker Borer 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Boone Central | 2024 State NE . Parker showed that he might be one of the most versatile players in the state. Borer rushed for 1,245 rushing yards, caught 17 passes for 316 yards, 301 return yards, recorded 31 tackles, three interceptions, 20 rushing touchdowns, two receiving touchdowns, two pick-sixes, and a kickoff return for a touchdown… wow! Parker has a great mix of speed, vision, and explosiveness when running. He is so shifty and can put an entire defense on skates with just one cut. Parker is a fluid athlete that makes whatever he’s doing (running, catching, returning, defending) look effortless on the field. Great versatile athlete that needs to be on recruiting boards asap!
Sam Brummund Sam Brummund 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Skutt Catholic | 2024 State NE | LB | Skutt Catholic | 6’2″ 215 lbs
#98 to #44
One linebacker I don’t see people talking about enough is Skutt Catholic’s, Sam Brummund Sam Brummund 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Skutt Catholic | 2024 State NE . Brummund is a guy with next-level size at 6’2 and 215 lbs and boasts a 6’6″ wingspan. Sam had a great junior season as he saw himself step into a bigger role in the Sky Hawk’s defense at inside linebacker and even defensive end on occasion. Brummund is a smart downhill linebacker who plays with what I consider “controlled madness,” meaning he’s patient to let the play develop before exploding through his gap and making a play in the backfield. He has a non-stop motor, keeping the intensity up on every play and hitting hard every chance he gets. High ceiling player!
Isaiah Weber Isaiah Weber 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Gretna | 2024 State NE | RB/LB | Gretna | 5’7″ 170 lbs
#94 to #58
Junior RB Isaiah Weber Isaiah Weber 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Gretna | 2024 State NE had some big shoes to fill as he stepped into the RB1 role for the Dragons. Weber delivered big time on those expectations with 928 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 167 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns. Weber is a strong and powerful runner who plays RB like a mad bulldog. He has outstanding balance and lots of power in his lower body that keeps him upright through contact and falling forward. Isaiah can fight off tackle attempts, or he can dip his shoulder to dish out some pain as well. One thing people tend to overlook is his acceleration once he’s hit the second and third levels. If there’s no one there to disrupt him, he’s going for a home run. We could see an uptick in production for Weber in his senior year!
Jude Burton Jude Burton 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Raymond Central | 2024 NE | DL/EDGE | Raymond Central | 6’3″ 220 lbs
#132 to #65
Jude participated in December’s Stock Up showcase, and he did just that with an outstanding performance that moved him up the rankings. Jude also showed us how good he could be with 32 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks in his junior campaign. Burton is a lean, muscular prospect who immediately passes the eye test. He’s listed as a defensive lineman, but he fits an outside linebacker/edge-type player with his speed and athleticism. Jude did a great job winning the edge and shutting down outside run plays heading his way. Watching him play, he exhibits great explosiveness and violence with his hands at the point of contact. I also really like his hustle and effort, he showed this at the camp and in his tape, where he can be seen making backside tackles or tracking down ball carriers downfield. Sleeper coming out of C1!
