Some of these prospects already have an offer from MSU. While others are being evaluated heavily. Let us take a look at some of the prospects.
Aaron Travis
Aaron Travis
Aaron is a prospect that caught fire last football season. During that time he received an offer from Mississippi State. His ability to get off blocks and chase down screen plays is one of his strengths. Aaron enjoyed his time on campus this weekend. MSU will do all they can to get Aaron to become a bulldog. Travis like the attacking style defense State plays. He should receive more offers as the 2023 season approaches.
McCoy is just a freshman, but that didn’t stop MSU from making an offer. He is a dominant force that has not reached his full potential. McCoy can shred blocks with ease. IMG academy has reached out to him and his family. This would be a major loss to Tupelo if he decides to leave for IMG academy. He has the potential to become a top 5 player in the nation just remember the name.
Jernigan is another prospect from Tupelo. He had an amazing season with 96 tackles. He enjoyed the atmosphere on campus and is looking forward to taking more visits. He has a chance to become one of the state best linebackers. Jernigan is one of the hardest working linebacker in the state. He take pride in his work ethic and said he wanna be a complete linebacker. This off-season one of his main focuses is to improve his coverage skills.
Highlights
Wicks is a back that has excellent speed. He had over 1500 all purpose yards and 16 touchdowns. Wicks also has a 3.76 gpa that will help coaches sleep better at night. He is a back that can do it all. His vision is so amazing and can line up out wide. Wicks is a home run threat every time he touches the ball. He had a wonderful time at MSU over the weekend and could see himself playing there. Said he would take more visits to see if the new offense would be a perfect fit for the both of them.
