While teammate J”ven Williams has already enrolled early to Penn State, Pacen Ziegler Pacen Ziegler 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2023 State PA is still out there waiting for the right opportunity. The first team all-state offensive tackle has offers from Stonehill College, Bryant University and Saint Francis University with more on the way. While the recruiting season is in full swing, Ziegler is in no rush and wants to make the best decision for him and his family. He stopped by to talk about his recruiting process and a few other topics below:
Carl Frederick: You have offers from all over the country, what has this experience been like for you?
Pacen Ziegler Pacen Ziegler 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2023 State PA : This experience has been a lot of fun, and I’m glad to have met some great coaches and to have visited many excellent programs. I have definitely grown as a person through this whole recruiting process, and I can’t wait to get to the next level.
CF: Do you have any favorites or schools in your Top 5?
PZ: I would say as of now I don’t have any specific favorites. I’m starting my visits this Friday, so I will probably know more in the coming weeks.
CF: Playing with so many high caliber who have gone on to play major college football, do you get any advice from them?
PZ: Yeah for sure. J’ven Williams in particular has been a huge help to me, as he exploded recruiting wise last year and provided a lot of advice.
CF: After your heartbreaking loss how long did it take for you and your teammates to get back in the weight room, I am assuming you were in the next day lol?
PZ: That loss did hurt for a couple days, but there’s a point where you must move on. Everything happens for a reason, and I’m proud of all my teammates for allowing me to have such a great high school career.
CF: Give us a fun fact about Pacen Ziegler Pacen Ziegler 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2023 State PA that our audience might not know.
PZ: One of my favorite things to do is to travel. I have visited 24 states and 13 countries and have gone on 7 cruises.
Ziegler is not in a rush and wants to enjoy the rest of his senior year of high school. Wherever he ends to deciding to play, that school will know for sure they have themselves an absolute stud to work with.
Matthew Remash Matthew Remash 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB J.P. McCaskey | 2023 State PA is a two-sport star athlete for the McCaskey Red Tornadoes. One of the top quarterbacks in the LLBerks league Remash heads into Senior season for track and field hoping to bring home more hardware for him and his teammates. A league champion Javelin thrower Remash and the Red Tornadoes have even bigger goals for this spring. The signal caller/thrower took time out of his crazy schedule to sit down with the 717 crew, the interview is below:
Carl Frederick: What has your schedule been like going from Football to school to track plus all your college visits tell us about that?
Matthew Remash Matthew Remash 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB J.P. McCaskey | 2023 State PA : My schedule has been packed. The transition from football to track has been super easy with the shotput being the only throwing event in the winter. College visits have been going well. I’m starting to cut down on my decisions on where I’ll be going.
CF: We have asked you this before but at the next level would you rather play football or throw in track?
MR: I would rather play football, that’s my sport. But if I have the opportunity to compete in both sports, I will take full advantage of that.
CF: Compare what its like to go from Coach Thompson in football to Coach Jennings in track?
MR: Coming into track from football you can feel a completely different vibe. You can tell people are here to win for track and are willing to do whatever to help the team succeed. We want to go back to back to back. It’s our goal we don’t like losing in track.
CF: Give us a prediction for McCaskey Track and Field this season?
MR: I believe we have a strong team. I feel we can do things in field this year. The track is something to really worry about because we have some dogs out there.
CF: Last one give our audience a fun fact we may not know about Matthew Remash Matthew Remash 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB J.P. McCaskey | 2023 State PA ?
MR: I love Greek mythology
Remash excels on the field and in the classroom for the Red Tornadoes, any school that gives him an opportunity will certainly be rewarded.
