Gamechangers: MVPs Of PRZ Stock Up Showcase Texas Offense

Gamechangers are players who make the plays that alter the outcome of games and players who have the skills that coaches rely on to the lead their teams. Players from around the state of Texas came out to the PRZ Stock Up Showcase to show off their skills. Here are the offensive Gamechangers who came away with the MVP awards at each position.

Hackbarth can flat out spin it. He stands tall when he delivers the football, he has a strong arm with the strength to fit the football into tight windows and he throws an accurate deep ball with great touch. At 6’2 185, he has a stout build, a powerful lower half and a strong base, which enables him to drive the football with extra zip. During the combine and agility portion of camp, Harrison showed off good burst, his ability to change direction was sharp and his athleticism was on display as progressed through each drill. His footwork during the quarterback specific drills was clean and he navigates the pocket with excellent presence. Hackbarth helped lead Grapevine to a District 4-5A DII Championship, an 11-2 record and a third round playoff appearance in 20222. Hackbarth has all the traits that Gamechangers possess and he has peaked the interest of multiple colleges. Look for Hackbarth’s stock to continue rise heading into his senior season.

Berry has a stout build, with a thick lower half and the broad shoulders of a running back who can tote the load in an offense. During the combine portion of camp, he blazed a hand time 4.4 40, he showed excellent burst in the L-Drill and displayed the quickness to change direction without wasting steps. Berry has elite burst, he gets to his top speed in a hurry and he has fluid hips that enable him to cut quickly. As the camp progressed into one on one drills with the linebackers, Berry won multiple reps, by being able to swivel his hips and make defenders miss in space. During the passing period, Kordell let it be known that he is a threat out of the backfield, showing off strong, soft hands and his ability to shake and bake in the open field, left several defenders reaching for air. Berry was a Gamechanger during the fall in 2022 at Life Waxahachie, rushing for 1,729 yards with 18 touchdowns and his speed to make a house call from long distance was evident from his first play on his fall film. Colleges have already started to reach out to Berry, there is no doubt he will have suitors for his services after high school.

Caudill is a road grader who lines up at the guard position. His burst at the snap is quick and deliberate, he plays with great leverage and his violent hands allow him to play with superb technique. Hunter plays with a relentless motor, his powerful, stiff punch at impact, rocks his opponents of their axis and he has a strong base at the point of attack. During the agility drills, Caudill’s footwork was sound, his quickness in space enables him to fire off the ball quickly and his nimble feet displayed his athleticism. In 2022, Caudill was a starter as a freshman on the Grapevine offensive line at guard, he was selected first team all-district and represented the Mustangs as the Newcomer of the year in his district. Hunter has the skill set that Gamechangers possess and his dominate performance at the PRZ Stock Up Showcase put everyone on notice.

Peoples Jr. is a twitchy, explosive athlete, who has a powerful build and he excelled through the combine portion early on. His explosive burst, along with his long speed, were evident after he blazed one of the top 40 times in his group. Gregory moves well in space and his ability to change direction quickly was on display during the L-Drill, as he cut, planted and turned without false steps. He is long, athletic and his catch radius is large, which enables him to extend in close quarters with defenders draped on him in coverage. He is a hands catcher and routinely made catches with his hands extended outward. Peoples Jr. runs crisp routes, he gets in and out of his breaks quickly and his fluid hips enable him to explode past defenders. His strength allowed him to beat press coverage during the camp one on ones versus the defensive backs and this allowed him to created separation at the point of engagement. Gregory has the traits that Gamechangers possess and is a player to keep an eye on at Lancaster High School in 2023.
