Jalen Washington Jalen Washington 5'8" | 190 lbs | RB Houston | 2024 State MS , RB, 2024
Washington is one of the best 2024 running backs in the nation. He gets the job done every time he touches the ball. He will be one of their leaders coming back next year. Washington is guy that gets low to the ground. He knows how to read holes. He has great vision and doesn’t play around. Washington rushed for over 2000 yards as a sophomore during the 2021 season. He still has that same capability. He has been receiving a lot of interest from different colleges. 2023 is going to be his year.
Christopher Parker Christopher Parker 5'7" | 155 lbs | ATH Houston | 2025 MS , WR, 2025
Parker is another guy that is going to be great next year. He lead the team with receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. These guys are going to be great with him on those islands. He is a guy that can bust big plays open at anytime. Next year I would like to see Houston get him the ball more. He is explosive and knows how to make things happen. He can also line up and play good defense. That’s another element of his game. This kid does a great job. Next year they will be in the same district as Louisville. I bet Parker is very excited about that.
Will Echoles Will Echoles 6'4" | 305 lbs | OL Houston | 2024 State MS , OL/DL, 2024
Echoles is one of the best lineman in the state. That’s on offense or defense. However, he seems to be more of a defensive lineman. He evens has the build of a good interior tackle. He does a great job of creating holes for Washington and running backs behind him. One reason I think he can play good on the defensive side of the ball is because of his speed. He knows how to move around when he is in the trenches. There won’t be a lot of guys that can block him. If he goes to the next level and plays defense we will see a monster. This guy is a dude. He gets it done on the football field.
Steele Brooks, QB, 2024
Brooks is a guy who won’t get a lot of throwing opportunities. However, he is a true competitor. You can’t mention the Louisville game without mentioning how he took the heat from that great defense all night. Brooks made several throws with guys all around him. He still stood tall in the pocket and got things done. Being a Hilltopper doesn’t come with having great quarterback stats. You have to be a true general that is tough. You have to be ready to hand the ball off a lot of times on Friday nights. Brooks takes on that role and gets it done. Can’t wait to witness him be a humble leader again next season.
