Class 5A: 2023’s Still Available After Early Signing Day

<p>Early Signing Day has come and gone, with Division 1 programs around the country securing signatures from most, if not all, of their recruits for the 2023 class.</p>   <p>We now enter a phase where we start to see junior colleges, Division 2, and Division 3 programs get into the act and hand out offers to athletes around the state. In this article, we begin to take a hard look at some promising prospects who either don't have any offers yet, or will be waiting until the traditional signing day of February 3rd to put pen to paper.</p>   <p><strong><em>Christian Isibor - RB - 5'8" 170 - Cambridge HS / @Christianxxiii</em></strong></p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Christianxxiii/status/1598781982653222925?s=20&t=W3rGU3WH1-CNnlvTnFCuJg </div></figure>   <p>Has good patience and vision, with very quick feet to shuffle and find lanes between the tackles. Efficiently moves through tight spaces to find yardage. Refrains from bouncing too many runs outside. Shows good contact balance and the ability to make defenders miss in space; very nice jump cuts make him difficult to bring down. Makes solid cuts to find rushing lanes from the backfield, and vision is good enough to recognize opportunities to make something out of nothing. Agility is one of his major strengths; has excellent jump-cuts, is able to make defenders miss in the hole in one-on-one situations, and can be very hard to tackle in the open field. Throws a very catchable ball with a tight spiral and appropriate touch. Has enough arm strength to fit the ball into tight windows. Shows some ability to make anticipatory throws. Checks down when his primary read is covered. Gets appropriate arc on his deep throws</p>
