Ethan Barbour Ethan Barbour 6'3" | 215 lbs | TE Alpharetta | 2025 State GA – TE – Alpharetta
He already had a handful of D1 offers on hand going into 2023, but it’s clear Barbour saw his recruitment take off this January, adding offers this month from Alabama, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Miami, Michigan, LSU, among others. One of the top young pass-catchers in the state, Barbour is coming off an excellent sophomore season for Alpharetta where he caught 51 passes for 714 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was a reliable target in the passing game all season long and made play after play against weekly competition. He has plenty of size already at 6-foot-3 215-pounds and tremendous ball skills. A versatile tight end, Barbour has receiver-like hands with great body control and the ability to come down with a big catch in traffic. He moves well, he’s an impressive route-runner, and has quickly become one of the top 2025 tight end targets in the South. He’s an impressive prospect for a lot of reasons, and his offer sheet continues to grow and grow.
Nykahi Davenport – RB – Roswell
This biggest breakout running back in 6A last year, thee Roswell Hornet star ran wild on defenses all season long and is finally seeing some well-deserved offers come his way. A powerful, tackle-breaking back who averaged an eye-popping 10.1 yards per carry last year as a junior, Davenport showed easy D1 potential and earned new offers this week from Cincinnati, NC State, Indiana, and Marshall. One of the hottest peach-state running backs on the recruiting trail right now, look for more offers to come his way after one of the best junior seasons we saw from any running back during the 2022 season. Davenport has D1 size at 6-foot-0 190-pounds and knows how to run through tackles. The Roswell back rushed for 1,904 yards last year, 2nd among all backs in the 6A classification. He also rushed for 23 touchdowns, scoring in every game but two last year. He also rushed for at least 100 yards in every game but one last year, leading the Hornets deep into the 6A playoffs.
London Merritt – DL – Woodward Academy
A quick, athletic defensive lineman who really shined as a sophomore in 2022, Merritt lived in the backfield and made a giant impact on a defense loaded with talent. The 6-foot-3 230-pounds moves well, and his quickness can be too much to handle for bigger interior offensive linemen. He has great instincts for the position and was as productive as it gets for any sophomore defender in the Atlanta area. He’s also stronger than most his age, giving him the ability to get off blocks with his natural strength along with his quickness and athleticism. He can blow up any particular way, and showed that he can attack the quarterback as well. As a sophomore last year, Merritt made 33 total tackles, 6 TFLs, and made 9 sacks. He flashed D1 potential on a consistent basis and saw his recruitment take off this month after an eye-opening 2022 season. In the month of January, the Woodward Academy defender earned offers from Ohio State, Ole Miss, Southern Cal, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Alabama, among others. Easily one of the top 2025 breakout prospects of the month.
Camron Brooks – DE – Thomas County Central
He may be just a freshman, but the impressive 2026 defender was a standout defensive lineman last year for Thomas County Central and saw his recruitment take off this month. A promising prospect with plenty of size already at 6-foot-4 225-pounds, the South Georgia lineman is quick off the ball and knows how to run down the ball-carrier. He uses his hands well, consistently finds his way into the backfield, and has become one of the top overall defenders in the area. He’s an easy D1 prospect, and he now has the offers to back up the hype he’s generated after a fantastic freshman season. The playmaking defender now holds offers from Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida State, and Colorado. Look for him to reel in many more and end up being one of the highest-ranked defenders in Georgia for the 2026 class.
