Nolan McCullough Nolan McCullough 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Penn | 2024 State IN – Penn – QB – 6’2″ 205lbs – 2024
McCullough is a dual-threat Quarterback who took a big step forward last fall. He’s lethal in the read-option and seemingly always makes the right decision. He’s got the speed to hit the corner and rip up chunks of yardage. He’s a physcial runner for a QB as well and isn’t afraid to fight for those last few yards. He’s actually got incredible straight line speed and if he gets into the second level he’s trouble for the defense. He’s hard to bring down and is a thicker QB, especially for his age. Once he gets into a collegiate lifting program he could easily be in the 220’s and look even better. His arm is actually fairly decent. He’s able to let it rip with an easy throwing motion. He doesn’t seem to struggle to grip the ball either. He’s decisive and if he doesn’t like what he sees he’s going to take off and run. Footwork and full-field progression reads are where he’ll need the most work, like most young QBs. But, if McCullough is able to put all of his tools together, he could be a fantastic starter at the next level.

Maximus McCool Maximus McCool 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Castle | 2025 State IN – Castle – RB – 5’11” 180lbs – 2025
McCool is a young back who looked really good this year, especially as the season went on. Anytime he touched the ball, it felt like he was good for a big run. His Sophomore campaign and he was able to put his thumbprint on the offense. He played 9 varsity games this year where he put up 780 rushing yards, 10 TDS, and 7.7 ypc. He was incredibly efficient because how well he sees the field and how good of an athlete he is. He’s able to see lanes, react, and get through them. He’s also able to be a physical runner who can stay up through contact and keep his legs churning to grind out those tough earned yards. He’s thick enough to develop into a workhorse type frame, even at the next level. In an outside zone scheme, McCool is lethal and will kill the defense. He’s able to press it down the line until he find the hole he wants where he’s sticking his foot in the ground and getting uphill at full speed. He explodes through holes and finds his second gear there. If he’s able to continue developing in the run game the way he is and then learn blitz pickup, McCool could really put himself in a situation to be a workhorse RB at the next level.

Logan Parrish Logan Parrish 6'4" | 265 lbs | OL Hagerstown | 2024 State IN – Hagerstown – OL/DL – 6’4″ 280lbs – 2024
Parrish is a 2-way lineman who had a fantastic season for Hagerstown on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he played primarily RT this season and had moments of excellence. When he’s on the move as a lead blocker, he’s as good as anyone. He’s usually able to set the edge and properly defend with decent footwork. Obtaining depth is still a work in progress but he’s capable. He’s good at working the outside of the line and picking up the right man and can adjust on the fly. Defensively, he was arguably even better. He was reguarly able to penetrate the line and get in the backfield. 7TFLs this year while lining up in the interior of the line. Add his 65 total tackles and he was just all over the field this year. I will say physically there’s room for development as he still feels a bit raw, but that only bodes well for his future once he gets his frame up to speed. A capable player while developing usually means you’re a force once you hit your stride. He’s going to come out next year with a ton of experience on both sides of the ball and will likely get looks on both sides. I think it’s safe to say that Parrish is a versatile lineman who has a very bright future laying ahead.

Carter McKinstry Carter McKinstry 5'10" | 220 lbs | LB Lawrence North | 2024 State IN – Lawrence North – LB – 6’0″ 220lbs – 2024
McKinstry was all over the field this year making plays but if you put him near the line of scrimmage, good things are bound to happen for your defense. Whether he’s able to get home and sack the QB, get a TFL, or just get pressure to force an errant throw, he was consistent this year. Down after down, game after game, he was a menace to opposing offenses. He’s a really good athlete who is still developing, too. This year alone he hit triple digit tackles with 101. Add in his 10 TFLs, 4 sacks, and forced fumble and he had an overall stellar year. But again, it was the way he looked doing it. He’s an emotional player who can elevate the guys around him. When he makes a big play, he gets juiced. That excited the guys around him and they seemed to feed off of that some this year. I’d say in terms of production and ability he’s right where he should be. A fantastic player who is producing at a high level can only mean good things for his future. McKinstry is someone who could easily skyrocket in recruiting in Indiana all across the board and I wouldn’t be remotely shocked.

Uriah Buchanan Uriah Buchanan 5'11" | 175 lbs | RB Snider | 2024 State IN – Snider – RB – 5’11” 175lbs – 2024
Buchanan is going to be a really interesting name to watch this fall. He’s developed right along as he should throughout his high school campiagn. He’s never been the workhorse, or even lead back, but it’s because he’s had older guys in front of him. Tyrese Brown, who graduated last year was that dude for Snider and went to play college ball. This year, Buchanan got to split reps and looked like the better of the 2. He’s got elite speed and can hit the homerun. He’s got quick feet and his vision is just as good. His 597 rushing yards this year and 10 TDs on 94 carries shows the effeicncey he’s able to have. He’s dynamic, and with that, he’s able to be creative with the ball in his hands and be a shifty runner. I think pass protection and understanding the full passing game concepts are still to come, but he’s capable. He’s a natural and smooth athlete who seems to pick up things quickly. Buchanan could easily be a steal for some school who brings him in and polishes his game. Worst case scenario, Buchanan gives off the feel that he’d be a really good return man if given the opportunity. There’s a lot to like with Buchanan, and this fall he should be the old guy in the room who gets to lead the way while showcasing what he’s fully capable of.
