These are prospects that can be trusted by their quarterbacks and are capable of making plays that we will rewatch over and over again.
Braunte Johnson, 6’3, 180 pounds, Fort Wayne North Side
Leading off, we have Braunte Johnson. Johnson was a key member of a North Side team that enjoyed a resurgent season in the Summit Athletic Conference. The Legends star makes plays in all three phases. Offensively, Johnson totaled nearly 1,100 receiving yards on 69 receptions this past fall. He averaged just under 16 yards-per-catch. Per game, Johnson averaged 108.1 receiving yards. He caught 16 touchdowns and run for a score. On defense, Johnson chipped in 23 tackles. On special teams, Johnson managed to block a field goal. He has also gained experience returning kickoffs. During his junior campaign, he accumulated 117 kickoff return yards.
Mylan Graham Mylan Graham 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR New Haven | 2024 State IN , 6’1, 180 pounds, New Haven
Staying in the Fort Wayne-area, Mylan Graham Mylan Graham 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR New Haven | 2024 State IN will be heading into 2023 with the goal of taking the next step after an outstanding junior season. Any time the Bulldogs need a big play, they have the luxury of getting the ball to Graham and letting him create something. Graham averaged nearly 24 yards-per-reception in 2022. In total, he tallied 1,149 yards on 48 receptions. He caught 13 touchdown receptions. Graham is also capable of handling punting duties. Last year, he punted a dozen times for a net total of 307 yards with one punt going inside the 20-yard line.
Donovan Hamilton Donovan Hamilton 6'4" | 190 lbs | WR Hamilton Southeastern | 2024 State IN , 6’4, 190 pounds, Hamilton Southeastern
Any team that needs a receiver who can frequently make tough, contested catches should look no further than Hamilton Southeastern’s Donovan Hamilton Donovan Hamilton 6'4" | 190 lbs | WR Hamilton Southeastern | 2024 State IN . Blanket coverage is often not enough to stop Hamilton. He can find a way to come up with the catch, at times even fighting through contact. Put the ball in his vicinity and Hamilton has a great chance of coming up with the catch. Hamilton has a big catch radius allowing him to catch passes that are not right on target. A season ago, Hamilton posted 814 receiving yards on 50 catches. With ten touchdown receptions and one touchdown pass, it becomes clear to see Hamilton’s playmaking ability.
Patrick Clacks, 6’1, 185 pounds, Andrean
Next up is Patrick Clacks. It is not enough to just try to stretch the defense vertically. Someone has to be able to run underneath the defense. Clacks does well on screens and running routes close to the line-of-scrimmage. When the time does come to test the defense over-the-top, Clacks is certainly capable. Clacks can make plays down the field, and he is solid coming out of the break in the route. Last season, Clacks eclipsed 1,100 receiving yards on 78 catches. He scored 14 touchdown receptions and averaged nearly 15 yards-per-catch.
NiTareon Tuggle NiTareon Tuggle 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Northwood | 2024 State IN , 6’3, 190 pounds, NorthWood
Last, but certainly not least, is NorthWood’s star wideout NiTareon Tuggle NiTareon Tuggle 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Northwood | 2024 State IN . Tuggle is a multipurpose prospect who has the ability to play both ways. Offensively, he can make an impact not just as receiver, but also as a runner. As a receiver, he is a consistent target, and he consistently delivers. As a junior, Tuggle made 78 receptions for 1,138 yards. He carried the ball 17 times for 185 yards. In total, Tuggle accounted for 19 touchdowns last year: 17 receiving and two rushing. Defensively, he can make a difference at cornerback. In 2022, Tuggle recorded eight tackles, all of which were solo tackles. He snagged one interception and defended against one pass.
