Otero finished the season with a series of accolades that included SPSL 2A MVP, PRZ Second Team All Washington, and SPSL 2A First Team after rushing for over 1,500 yards and 24 touchdowns on 203 carries, adding 72 tackles on defense. At 5’7” 170 lbs. he plays much bigger than his frame and is a very instinctual ball carrier. He presses the line quickly and does a good job breaking through first contact at the LOS. Plus field vision to find space and see cutback lanes that he can attack. Shows he can weave through traffic avoiding tacklers or lower his shoulder and overpower defenders. A very natural football player that led Enumclaw to a undefeated regular season and a deep playoff run.
Highlights
George is a physical downhill ball carrier that racked up 2,300 total scrimmage yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground while adding 66 tackles and 17 TFL at OLB. High football IQ with good initial quickness and burst through the first level. A tough tackle anywhere on the field he initiates contact and shows great balance and leverage at the POA. Does a good job making one quick lateral cut and then getting square up the field. Love his ability to read his blocks and defenders to see angles and create open running lanes. Another PRZ Second Team All-Washington Selection.
At 5’9” 205 lbs. Scott possesses a strong compact frame and is a two way explosive playmaker at Franklin. He’s a natural ball carrier that shows good patience and field vision. Flashes good short area burst and acceleration through the hole and a sustainable second gear once in space. Holds the strength and contact balance to run between the tackles and the speed to turn the corner on the outside. Love his leg drive through contact allowing him to break tackles and maintain forward momentum. Great ability to improvise and make something out of nothing using his instincts and natural play making ability. Averaged over 10 yards per carry and finished with 1,250 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns on the season.
