Sean Cannon Sean Cannon 6’2″ | 190 lbs | ATH Kellenberg | 2023 State NY is one of the top uncommitted athletes in the New York 2023 class. Cannon was one of the best two-way players in the NYCHSFL displaying an All-State level of play on both offense and defense. Cannon caught 58 passes for 750 yards and 5 TDs and added 81 Tackles and 6 INTs on defense. A natural playmaker who is always making plays around the ball Cannon is getting some later interest after he picked up an offer from Wagner. Cannon has the skillset to potentially play on either side of the ball at the next level and his tape shows an explosive athlete who consistently makes plays.

Ricardo Kidd Ricardo Kidd 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB St. Francis | 2023 State NY was one of the most dangerous running backs in all of New York. With great size at 6′ and 205lbs Kidd has one of the best combinations of size and speed at the running back position in New York. Kidd is a bruiser but has the speed to convert short gains into big plays. Kidd does a great job of utilizing patience in the backfield and his quickness and speed to breakthrough tackles once running lanes open. Kidd was one of the top performing running backs in New York this season. Kidd registered his second straight 1,000 yard season, averaged over 6 yards per carry and added 13 total touchdowns which were both career highs.

Matt Fitzsimons Matt Fitzsimons 6’5″ | 190 lbs | QB Somers | 2023 State NY is one of the best pocket passers in New York and was just named Co-Player of the Year in Class A the highest honor a player in Class A can receive. Fitzsimons had 2,281 Passing Yards, 31 Passing TDs (11 Rushing) and only 5 INTs. Fitzsimons did all this by completing 139/189 passes which is an impressive 74%. Fitzsimons poise and accuracy from the pocket are some of the best in New York and his ability to make difficult throws across the field are impressive. Fitzsimons strong senior season has led to offers from Wesleyan, Hamilton, and D1 offers from LIU, Monmouth, and Stony Brook. Fitzsimons recruitment is still open and he remains the most talented QB in New York available.

Owen Boland Owen Boland 6’4″ | 240 lbs | DL Carmel | 2023 State NY was the heart and soul of a really talented Carmel defensive unit. Boland was a force on the defensive line and has incredible athleticism for the position. A fantastic athlete Boland has the strength and quickness to impact plays consistently. Boland has incredible length at 6-4 and does a great job of using his length to keep offensive lineman from getting a hold of him. Boland has great hand placement, violent hands, and the athleticism to really be impactful at the next level. Boland has offers from Union, RPI, and Albany (PWO) and could end up with a couple more before he decides on a home.

Dorian Facen Jr is one of the top remaining players available based on athleticism alone. Facen Jr. is one of the most physical wide receivers in New York and he shows his physicality on the defensive side of the ball as well. In 2022, Facen had 47 Receptions, 883 Yards, 15 Rec Touchdowns, 24 Carries, 193 Rushing Yards, 4 Rush Touchdowns, 98 Tackles, 26 TFL, 4 Sacks, 236 Return Yards, 1 Return TD. Perhaps one of the longest and most impressive stat lines you will see Facen Jr. was dangerous with the ball in his hands. At 6-2, 200lbs Facen Jr. has the physicality and the speed to be a really effective receiver at the next level. Facen Jr. also has some of the best yards after the catch ability as he can use his speed to get by defenders but also fairly easily break tackle attempts from defensive backs.

Serge Lagardere Serge Lagardere 5’7″ | 145 lbs | WR Archbishop Stepinac | 2023 State NY was one of the most exciting athletes to watch play for Archbishop Stepinac. Lagardere size raises questions at 5’7, 145lbs but those questions get answered when you watch the slot receiver play. Lagardere is so dangerous after the catch and he has the quick twitch athleticism that defenders struggle to tackle. Lagardere also has incredible hands, not only does he catch the ball extremely well and is able to make catches outside of his body but he also protects the ball after the catch. At the next level Lagardere is the perfect gadget style player that can be utilized in incredible unique ways on offense. Lagardere just picked up his first offer from Anna Maria.

Amir Cameron Amir Cameron 5’11” | 205 lbs | QB James Madison | 2023 State NY is an incredibly well rounded quarterback with incredible arm strength. Cameron is elusive in the pocket and is really hard to bring down. He played in an offense at James Madison that utilized vertical routes consistently and that played right into Cameron’s strengths. His accuracy down the field and touch on deep throws are his plus traits while his ability to make defenders miss and use his athleticism to keep plays alive make him a dangerous threat at extending plays. Cameron had one of the best seasons we saw from any quarterback in the PSAL.

Tawan Lewis Tawan Lewis 6’5″ | 175 lbs | ATH Frank J. Macchiarola | 2023 State NY has just started to pick up some roster spots at the next level and when you see the athletic traits that he has while standing at 6-5 it is easy to see why. Lewis has a really high ceiling and he really well this season as a defensive end. Lewis is a hard hitter and a really solid tackler who is willing to make plays in the run game. Against the pass Lewis’ length troubles offensive lineman and gives him an advantage that not many other players have. On the offensive side of the ball Lewis led the PSAL in receptions and could end up playing TE at the next level with his size. Lewis has offers from Walsh, Framingham State, Dean, Husson, and Hudson Valley CC.

Evan Locke Evan Locke 6’0″ | 235 lbs | DL Williamsville North | 2023 State NY was one of the most impactful defensive lineman in Western New York. Locke was a dominant presence and had unheralded strength for the position. Locke can bully offensive lineman and also has the speed to chase down running backs from behind. Locke is a high-motor player who does a great job of fighting through blocks and double teams and gaining leverage to win. At the point of attack Locke is a bully and effectively wins his matchups on his first steps off the snap.

Jabril Carter Jabril Carter 5’11” | 160 lbs | WR Mount St. Michael | 2023 NY is one of the fastest athletes in New York and although he currently holds no offers for football he just received an offer from Iona for Track. However, as a football player Carter was an incredible player whose dangerous speed matches with a really solid fundamentals at wide receiver. Carter had over 1,000 All-purpose yards this season with 10 TDs and was NYCHSFL Special Teams Player of the year as a returner. Carter’s special teams returning ability alone would make him an impact player at the next level and his dangerous speed means he could develop into a quality deep threat as a receiver.
