Defensive Line: Brady Freeman Brady Freeman 5'11" | 160 lbs | DL South Summit | 2024 State UT , South Summit HS Jr.
Freeman’s 25 sacks leads the 2A and the state averaging 2.1 sacks a game. Freeman plays with good initial quickness to read and react at the LOS. Has good strength at the point to control drive blocks and diagnose plays. Shows good effort to pursuit to the ball from snap to whistle. A good tackler that can make the sure hit at the LOS and the open field.
Defensive Line: Wade Brunson, Millard HS Sr.
Brunson is a athletic players that plays with good bend in his stance. Good initial quickness to read and react at the LOS. Good strength to control drive and trap blocks. Good use of hands to set and shed blocks as a run defender and get up field making quick contact with blockers and get to the QB. Shows lateral pursuit to the ball to avoid bi gains. A sure tackler that can make the hit at the LOS.
Defensive Line: Justin Foster, Providence Hall Sr.
Foster is an athletic player with good bend and burst in his stance. Good use of hands to grab, set up and shed blocks as a run defender and make quick contact with blocks to shed and accelerate to the QB. Good lateral pursuit to avoid big gains at the LOS. A sure tackler that can make the hit at the LOS.
Defensive Line: Noah Gunnerson, South Summit Jr.
Freeman was in good company along the defensive line with Noah Gunnerson getting 10 sacks this season. Plays with good bend and burst in his stance having good intial quickness to read and react at the LOS. Good strength at the point to control drive blocks. Good lateral pursuit to the ball avoiding big gains at the LOS. A sure tackler that can make the hit at the LOS.
Linebacker: Marcus Chase, Delta HS So.
Chase had a productive year leading the 2A class in tackles with 131 averaging 11.4 tackles a game. He’s a tall athletic player that plays with good quickness to read and react at the LOS. Good use of hands to avoid blocks and find ball carriers on inside runs. Good lateral quickness to go sideline to sideline and shows good explosion as a blitz rusher. A sure tackler with explosion.
Linebacker: Jake Marshall, Beaver HS Sr.
Marshall made 122 tackles averaging 9.4 per game. A tough physical player that plays with good quickness to read and react at the LOS. Shows good instincts, anticipation and reaction in pass coverage. Good explosion as a blitz rusher and a sure tackler that make the hit at the LOS and the open field.
