DeAndre Buchannon – WR – Carver
An electric receiver with the ball in his hands, Buchannon is one of the top senior receivers in Atlanta and he’s looking to end his career with a 3A state championship. He’s a threat in thee short to mid-range passing game and knows how to explode down the field when given space to run. When he gets behind the defense, he’s always a threat to score. A quick, shifty receiver with burst, Buchannon has been very productive all season long, catching 64 passes for 816 yards and 7 touchdowns during the regular season. He’s a player the defense needs to keep an eye on before every play, and if they don’t he’s going to get loose for a big gain. Look for Carver to get him the ball often during their semi-final game against Sandy Creek.

At Sandy Creek, it all starts with gunslinging quarterback, Geimere Latimer Geimere Latimer 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Sandy Creek | 2023 State GA . One of the productive quarterbacks south of Atlanta, Latimer can make all the throws and has led Sandy Creek to an impressive 11-2 record this season. He’s helped the offense put up at least 38 points in six games this season and has them playing solid football offensively. He’s also a threat to run with his legs, making him one of the top dual-threat senior QBs in the Atlanta area this year. As a passer, Latimer is 150/269 for 2,443 yards and 33 touchdowns with 10 INTs. He’s also rushed for an impressive 579 yards, leading the team, and 10 more scores. He’s a true game-changer at quarterback and just two wins away from leaving his career as a state champion.
Kayin Lee Kayin Lee 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Cedar Grove | 2023 State GA – DB – Cedar Grove
One of the top cover-corners in the state, Lee is a lockdown defensive back who knows how to hit and help in the run game. He’s long and athletic, but his ability to play physical is what makes him stand out from other cornerbacks in the state. He’s technically sound in coverage, shows good footwork, and closes well with the ball in the air. He separates the ball from thee receiver and makes it difficult for opposing quarterbacks to complete passes anywhere in his direction. He’s an intimidating defender who can make lots of plays in the secondary. Cedar Grove is full of talent on defense, and Lee is one of the best they have. His high school career is coming towards an end, and the Ohio State commitment is ready to give it everything he has on Friday night.
Whit Weeks Whit Weeks 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Oconee County | 2023 State GA – LB – Oconee County
The Warriors of Oconee County have been playing excellent football of late, and they have a massive test this weekend in the semi-finals against Cedar Grove. Their defense will have to be at their best, and so will star linebacker, Whit Weeks Whit Weeks 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Oconee County | 2023 State GA . A stout, explosive linebacker with great instincts, he’s a leader on thee defense and will play at LSU at the next level. He’s a true SEC-style linebacker who can run, hit, and do his job every play. He’s a secure tackler, can help in coverage, and does a good job of attacking the ball-carrier. He’s a playmaking linebacker who will be asked to slow down an impressive Cedar Grove offense. IF he can do it, Oconee County has a real shot of an upset.
