As I write this, the last two state championship games in the state for the 2022 football season have wrapped up play. It has been an extremely busy week of recruiting news, with scholarship offers and visits taking place in large numbers. We are going to look at plenty of prospects making news this week.
Carter McElhany Carter McElhany 5'7" | 155 lbs | WR Greenbrier | 2023 State AR -Wide Recevier-Greenbrier-2023
One of the most explosive wide receivers in the state of Arkansas was able to make a recruiting visit this week to Missouri State. McElhany is a play maker that fits the Bobby Petrino offense to a tee. The ability to catch the ball and make huge plays with the ball in his hands makes McElhany a recruiting target that everyone should keep an eye on before National Signing Day. With a scholarship offer from Missouri State already in his possession, keep an eye on McElhany. You do not see speed like his very often.

Anton Pierce Anton Pierce 6'3" | 205 lbs | DB Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR is a prospect that I have had the pleasure to watch over the past few years. He is a player that you can line up all over the field and his versatility is extremely impressive. Pierce had the opportunity over the weekend to visit Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas. After meeting with Sam Pittman, Pierce received an offer to play for the Razorbacks. Pierce has had a tremendous high school football career and it does not surprise me to receive an offer to play for the Hogs.

Jordon Harris Jordon Harris 6'7" | 230 lbs | TE Pine Bluff | 2023 State AR is the type of target in the passing game at the tight end position that scouts love. Harris has the ability to make plenty of plays in the passing game. He is especially dangerous near the red zone. Meanwhile, Harris is devastating blocker and has no problem clearing a path for his teammates. Harris had the chance to take his official visit to the Nashville to visit the Vanderbilt campus. Harris has the potential to see plenty of action on Saturdays in the future.
Garrion Curry Garrion Curry 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Magnolia | 2023 State AR -Running Back-Magnolia-2023
Curry has been one of the most consistent running backs in the state of Arkansas over the past three years. Curry has the speed needed to cut the run to the outside. Meanwhile, he is a patient enough runner to allow his blockers to create a lane before rushing through it. Curry has the power to run opposing defenders over. Which makes him the perfect potential running back for the Black Knights of Army. Curry committed to Army over the weekend and congratulations on in order for him.
Dyelon Caradine Dyelon Caradine 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Malvern | 2024 State AR -Wide Receiver-Malvern-2024
It has been an extremely busy week for Malvern wide receiver Dyelon Caradine Dyelon Caradine 6'2" | 160 lbs | WR Malvern | 2024 State AR . Caradine is a wide receiver that has the speed and route running ability to make plays in the passing game. He uses his speed well create the separation needed. Over the course of this week, Caradine and the Leopards earned a state championship with a victory over Harding Academy. Caradine earned a scholarship offer from Arkansas Baptist College in what was a busy weekend for the Malvern Leopard.

Little Rock Mills has a number of talented prospects with the ability to play on Saturdays in the future. Jabrae Shaw Jabrae Shaw 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR is one of those prospects that can do damage to an opposing team on both sides of the field. Shaw is a prospect that can make plays on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. He was able to make his official visit to Central Arkansas over the weekend. Shaw is a prospect to watch out for as National Signing Day draws closer.
Walker White Walker White 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Little Rock Christian | 2024 State AR -Quarterback-Little Rock Christian-2024
Over the next three years, the talent level at the quarterback position in the state of Arkansas is among the top in the nation. The Little Rock Christian signal caller has opened plenty of eyes the past two seasons with his stellar play. White has a strong arm and the ability to escape the pocket using his legs. It is not often when you see a quarterback that is just as dangerous throwing as he is running the football. Earlier this week, White earned a scholarship offer from Clemson University.

Quentin Murphy Quentin Murphy 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR is another quarterback that will see the field on Saturdays in the future. He does an excellent job of escaping the pocket and throwing the football while on the run. Murphy throws an accurate football and can fit the ball into some tight areas. Earlier in the week, the Robinson signal caller earned a scholarship offer from the Oklahoma Sooners. Murphy is a prospect that is going to continue to rack up scholarship offers over the next few months.
Brooks Yurachek Brooks Yurachek 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Fayetteville | 2023 State AR -Linebacker-Fayetteville-2023
The Fayetteville linebacker had a very strong senior season for the Bulldogs. Yurachek was all over the field for the Bulldogs and had no problems getting into the opposing offensive backfield. He closed out his high school career earning All-State honors on the season. Earlier in the week, Yurachek placed his commitment with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Congratulations go out to the talented linebacker prospect!
