With Alabama just a few minutes away, this football program has long been a winner and has combined small town values with some impressive football.
Far from the mainstream on the Sunshine State, the Chiefs have always been a force when it comes to the sport of football.
Along Highway 29 (North Century Boulevard), the fans are as loyal as the small businesses that define this community, and the high school has played off those values.
As head coach Wesley Summerford and his football team get ready to meet unbeaten Hawthorne in the 1R state finals on Saturday night at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee, students, administrators and fans will take the three hour plus time zone change ride to cheer on a program that has grabbed the spotlight this season.
With a perfect 13-0 record, the Chiefs will have the chance to showcase a team that has answered every bell – with wins over two Alabama schools along with some impressive Florida programs.
This team has been led by a senior class that has stepped up. Among those seniors include Luke Bridges (SS, 5-10, 185), Aiden Broadhead Aiden Broadhead 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Bratt Northview | 2023 FL (TE, 6-4, 200), Cason Burkett (OLB, 6-0, 170), Aron Chavira (DE, 5-8, 210), Maliki Haynes (WR, 6-3, 185), Jamarkus Jefferson (RB, 5-9, 215), Kaden Odom (QB. 6-3, 170, Simeon Sanders (DE) and offensive lineman John Ward (6-5, 280).
KEEPIN THIS TRAIN ROLLING FOR THE FUTURE
