Thomas was one of the top rushers in the state with 2456 yards and 29 touchdowns. He led McClymonds to a State Championship appearance.
He chose Cal over six other schools that offered him including Idaho, Rice and San Jose State among others.
Thomas is the seventh player from California in Cal’s 2023 recruiting class and the first running back in the class.
The 6-foot-5 defensive lineman flipped his commitment from Colorado to San Diego State last week.
Nassar was committed to Colorado in June but withdrew his commitment when Deion Sanders was named the new coach at Colorado. He immediately visited San Diego State and committed shortly after.
He had 13 other offers including Oregon State, Arizona State and Washington among others.
Nassar is the third defensive lineman in San Diego State’s 2023 recruiting class, joining a Texas prospect and Sinn Brennan Sinn Brennan 6’5″ | 240 lbs | DL Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA of Los Alamitos.
The 6-foot-7 two-way star flipped his commitment from Idaho to Ball State on December 7.
Smith committed to Idaho in August but when Ball State offered him in early December, he took a visit and flipped his commitment immediately.
He had better numbers as a defensive end this season but had a touchdown reception as a tight end.
Smith is the second player from California in Ball State’s 2023 recruiting class, joining quarterback Kadin Semonza Kadin Semonza 6’0″ | 190 lbs | QB Mission Viejo | 2023 State CA of Mission Viejo.
The dual threat quarterback announced his commitment to Tulane on December 15.
Mensah completed 70 percent of his passes for 2205 yards with 19 touchdowns. He also ran for 392 yards and seven touchdowns.
He also had an offer from Idaho State. Mensah is the first player from California in Tulane’s 2023 recruiting class and the lone quarterback in the class.
The star receiver from Hayward announced his commitment to Washington on December 16.
Lyons chose Washington over 23 other schools that offered him. He took an official visit to Notre Dame in September.
He had over 1,000 yards receiving with 10 touchdowns. He also ran for five touchdowns.
Lyons is the 12th player from California in Washington’s 2023 recruiting class. He is the third receiver in the class, joining Rashid Williams Rashid Williams 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Pittsburg | 2023 State CA of Pittsburg and Keith Reynolds Keith Reynolds 5’10” | 165 lbs | ATH Adelanto | 2023 State CA of Adelanto.
