This is the most anticipated game of the Texas season more than even the state championship next weekend. The North Shore Mustangs are #2 in Texas and #8 in the nation vs The Austin Westlake Chaparrals are #4 in Texas and #9 in the nation. This means both teams are top 5 in Texas and the top 10 in the nation. This is the 1st time these two teams have faced off in almost two years. Westlake has been undefeated for three years with a 54-consecutive winning streak. Westlake has won three consecutive state championships and now they are facing last year's division I State Champs North Shore. The game started as a back & forth and Westlake getting a safety early on gained momentum. However, North Shore answered back by scoring two touchdowns. Westlake and North Shore athletes couldn't come out of this game unscathed. By the end of the game, 7 total athletes from North Shore and Westlake suffered from some form of injury or sprain. Both teams played the best football they could, but the final score of the game was 49-34 with North Shore advancing to the state finals and ending Westlake's winning streak. In this article, I'll be discussing The North Shore Mustangs' offensive standouts.

#34 [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson'] RB Sr 5'9 215 lbs

Let's talk about the big power-back [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson']. Rashaad had an astounding game against Austin Westlake with superb defense. Lacking in their passing game because of starting quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='277754' first='Kaleb' last='Bailey']'s ankle injury Rashaad has continuously leveled up every single game. Rashaad is electric with the ball breaking tons of tackles with great speed. Rashaad scored on North Shore's 1st drive which gave the offense to gave momentum. Unfortunately, Rashaad had some form of injury and wasn't able to play continuously, but whenever Rashaad was on the field he was a massive threat. Rashaad's stats were three rushing touchdowns.

#28 D'andre Hardeman Jr RB So

D'andre Hardeman Jr is another standout running back on North Shore's roster. D'andre's standout trait is his speed and with [player_tooltip player_id='131823' first='Rashaad' last='Johnson'] out some plays due to injury he had to step up his play. And D'andre did exactly that with his speed he was able to outrun everyone on Austin Westlake's defense. Which led him to score and put North Shore in the lead. D'andre's stats were one rushing touchdown.

#2 Christopher Barnes WR Jr 5'9 165 lbs

Christopher Barnes is an outstanding wide receiver. With North Shore's offense being run-heavy there aren't many opportunities for Christopher to strut his skills. However, Christopher's speed speaks for itself even with the small number of times he had the ball in his hands Christopher didn't disappoint. Christoper is also tenacious and tough as he breaks tackles and fights for every single yard he could get. Christopher has three colleges and universities offers from; Texas A&M Commerce, Prairie View A&M University, and the University of the Incarnate Word. Christopher's stats were one touchdown.

#8 David Amador QB, WR Sr 6'0 180 lbs

David Amador started as a wide receiver but is now the starting quarterback since the previous quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='277754' first='Kaleb' last='Bailey'] went out with a knee injury. David has been performing well especially leading his team to the state championships this year. David has a good throwing arm, but his main strength is his mobility and speed which he obtained from playing as a wide receiver. David overall is tough this was a very physical game for North Shore especially for David continuously taking big hits, but got back up each time and got ready for the next play. David's stats were one rushing touchdown.
