Raleigh and Noxubee County faced off in a shoot-out that featured several jaw-dropping plays from highly touted prospects. The game began with plenty of fireworks from both teams. 3A Mr.Football Suntarine Perkins Suntarine Perkins 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Raleigh | 2023 State MS took his first carry from scrimmage over 70 yards to secure the Lions first score. Noxubee County quickly answered with a score of their own from Kamario Taylor to Jaylon King. This trend of back and forth scoring ensued for the entire first half of the game and on into the third quarter. Mostly with Raleigh’s Perkins who added 32 rushes, 337 yards & 4 TD’s offensively. Perkins also added a key interception late in the game. This play was one of may that Suntarine made defensively in pressure moments. Javarious Walker also showed off his ability to knife through defenders and provided a B-side to Raleigh’s respected rushing attack. Apart from the turnovers, Walker assisted Perkins in carrying the load to capture Raleigh’s first 3A title.
On the opposing side it was the Kamario Taylor Show, featuring Anthony Little Anthony Little 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Noxubee County | 2023 State MS . Taylor had an impressive outing where he went 14-24 with 5 touchdowns. Kamario was able to display his arm talent though the Tigers fell short in the game. He was able to make throws in the pocket, on the run, and throws on and off platform while extending the play. With this type of performance from their QB1, Noxubee County was able to spread the ball around and get several of their guys involved. Anthony Little Anthony Little 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Noxubee County | 2023 State MS had a game that surely showed his shear talent and prowess on the outside.
