There were several prospects that raised their stock, but the amount of juniors that burst onto the scene this year was unbelievable. It’s the reason why 34 prospects made their debut in this December update.
Out of the 34 talented players that earned a spot in the Top 175, 19 of these prospects found themselves inside the Top 100. While that group of 19 is an impressive bunch of prospects, these are the five players that headline the newcomers in this update. Here’s a look at where these five landed inside the Top 50.
Say hello to the new top-ranked receiver from our Class of ’24 Player Rankings. Maize South displayed an impressive passing game this past season, and junior wideout, Sammy Dresie Sammy Dresie 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Maize South | 2024 State KS , was the top target for the Mavericks. Dresie leads this group of five with the highest debut, as he enters the rankings at No. 29 overall. After not seeing many targets as a sophomore, the junior led the team in receiving with 69 receptions for 1,063 yards. His breakout year earned him 1st Team All-League honors and a 5A All-State Honorable Mention nod. Dresie and Tate McNew Tate McNew 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Maize South | 2025 State KS should be one of the top quarterback-receiver duos in the state next season.
