Jones is recognized as Baltimore County’s Defensive Player of the Year by Sport Majors, Jones’ film and stats support the accolade. This season the Junior hybrid defender broke defending State Champ Milford Mills tackling record with 131 total tackles. One stat that stands out from Coby’s stat line is 21 tackles for a loss, pretty impressive. He also added 5 1/2 sacks, 2 interceptions including a pick 6, and 1 forced fumble. He has the size and speed of a DB but plays with the aggressiveness of a linebacker, making him a headache for an offense trying to block at the second level. Keep an eye on Jones over the off season, he may be an enforcer on this Millers defense next season.
