Wafer is a versatile wideout who’s dangerous out wide or in the slot. He has some juice off the line and is able to create separation downfield, but what really stands out on tape is his ability to go up and win jump balls on vertical routes. Since he rarely faces a corner that presses him, the expectation is that he put up huge numbers every Friday night. If he can shave a few ticks off his 10-yard split this offseason and spend some time in the weight room, he has the potential to begin the 2023 season as one of the most exciting young receivers in the DFW area.
S Luke Reynolds – 6’0″ 170 – Willis HS / @Luke_Rey97
A hard-hitter at the safety position, Reynolds has some impressive range for a guy who does most of his damage when he’s down, in the box. Versus the run, he fills gaps with authority and consistently makes plays, and against the pass, he does an above average job of recognizing routes and getting himself in position to make plays on the football. Exciting player to watch, and it will be interesting to see him continue to develop over the next two seasons.
CB Adyn Henry – 5’10″ 150 – The Colony HS / @AdynHenry2
Henry is a bit of an undersized corner who excels in zone coverage. He doesn’t have a ton of tape that shows him locked up on an island in press man, but he is a scrappy young defensive back who plays the game fearlessly, especially when coming downhill in run support on the perimeter. If he can put on some weight and show something in man coverage situations over these last 2 seasons of his high school career, he will be a nice addition to a smaller program’s signing class.
RB Kevontae White – 5’10″ 170 – Mesquite Horn HS / @KevontaeWhite_
A real threat to run for over 100 yards just about any game, Kevontae White is a name to know for the Class of 2025. He’s not the biggest back, but he explodes to the mesh point and shows some nice footwork in the backfield. Great vision and cutback ability allow him to elude defenders at the line of scrimmage and pop downfield for big gains. Shows some nice stuff as a receiver out of the backfield as well, but will need to put on some weight if he wants to become a Division 1 recruit. Very intriguing young back in DFW.
DB Davoderick Roberts Davoderick Roberts 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Duncanville | 2025 State TX – 6’1″ 175 – Duncanville HS / @DMoney25
A young defensive back at a high school known for churning out Division 1 prospects, Roberts flashes on tape as a downhill hitter with elite closing speed. He clocks a 10.6 in the 100m, and it really shows. I’d like to see more tape of him locked in man coverage, but the measurables are certainly there. It will be fun to watch how his junior season unfolds.
